I was thinking last night - how would the first three seasons of Cheers have been different had Woody been there all along, instead of Coach?

I think it might be time for me to finally bust my fan fiction cherry. But I'm afraid I'd be upstaged by our very own Barwars88. :)

LOL. Thats a graphic way of putting it. Im not really sure about that though. I think when Woody came in, the episodes were more suitable for younger crowds, getting away from the romance and more of the immaturity in the bar. But I really like Coach aswell.

Honestly....
I dont think it would work with Woody there in the beginning.

It would be impossible to write both Diane and Woody to be coming in to work at Cheers at the same time.

Unless they just casually mentioned that Woody had come from the farm to bartend in "the big city".... I dont think Woody would work without Coach already having been there.

Either way.... it would be different.

I agree. It wouldn't have lasted as long, I think if he was there from the beginning.

The writing was so good on Cheers that I doubt the show would've suffered with Woody the entire tenure of the show.
