Did Bea Arthur and Betty White appear together or was it separate taped appearances? Someone on another forum is implying there's a beef between those two. Anybody hear anything?

Never did we see the three girls all together (Estelle wasn't there due to her poor health). Only once was a picture ever shown of the three, and it was published in Entertainment Weekly. I believe the photo is in TGG picture galleries available on this site.

Here's a good link for info on the fued...

jayman75, thanks for the link. This is all news to me, I had no clue that there was a beef going on. Someone in anither forum said that a beef may be a reason why a dvd release hasn't happened yet, not that I think that's a valid reason. Still, it's surprising to hear that they didn't get along like I assumed.

Nobody really knows for sure...

The DVD Release isn't happening right now because the repeats on Lifetime do so well, and a DVD Release would lower ratings.

But why would the possibility of lower Lifetime ratings hold up a dvd release? Regardless, the company that owns Golden Girls would still be getting paid by Lifetime for however long Lifetime has cable broadcast rights, dvd release or not. The company would only be making more money by releasing a dvd as well. I don't think they'd be so concerned about Lifetime's ratings.

I don't think that releasing a DVD would lower Lifetime's ratings. Look at Friends. They have 6 seasons on DVD and ratings have not dipped in syndication yet.
