one thing that could have lost it tonight for the panthers is was that pentalty. my streak has ended past two years my team has won the super bowl till tonight. last year i wanted tampa to win. and two years ago it was the pats because i hate the rams

It was a great game, as a fan who had no real rooting interest one or the other, though I was rooting for the Panthers because I like John Fox, it was a great game. Who would have thunk all of the points that were scored.

Though I am disappointed that it did not go to Overtime. The Panthers scored too fast, I knew that over a minite to go, that the Patriots were probably going to win, especially after the kickoff went out of bounce, as a Giant I know how the Panthers fans feel right now, because of the Monday Night Giant loss to the Cowboys. Dam those kickers.

The last team I rooted for in the Superbowl that won was New England . :lol:

I agree they should have let the time wind down a little bit so the pats wouldnt have alot of time to do anything with the ball. they were in good field position. to let the clock go a little bit.

But man, I was dying to see an overtime.

They pulled all the right moves and Carolina put the fear of God into them.

Though mark my words they are going to say that this is the most mediocre team to win the Superbowl.

But if it was my team I'd say a win is a win and a title is sweet.

I'm glad for you Janice, especially with the raw deal the Sox got (but it looks like Aaron Boone is done for the season if that is any consolation).

I was a little ticked at the way Brady was celebrating early on with the first couple touchdowns- like it was his normal place to be in the Super Bowl or something- but I was impressed at his humility when the winning field goal went through.

Vinateri by the way, is kind of an ass.

Mediocre? The Pats just won 15 games in a row and are also 10-0 with teams that won more than 9 games. No other team has accomplished that in football history.

Two Superbowl wins in three years.

Trust me, it has to do with the level of talent and the high standard that the historians put everyone to. (I just ended that with a prepostion). But to be honest, there is no way they would have gotten where they have without Belichik- it's not like Jim Fassel would have taken them to the title.

It's become readily apparent that a great coach can take whatever talent he has to a greater level than a decent coach.

I mean look at the Cowboys- a mediocre to bad qb and running back and they made the playoffs. And they beat Carolina in the regular season.

Oh and the Pats are a good team not mediocre- just at the level of every Super Bowl champ they will not seem as close.

Even the Pat team that beat the Rams had more talent.

Congrats to the Patriots. They proved to everyone they are true champions, it's a shame someone had to lose that game, Carolina played with as much heart as I've seen a team play in a long time.

I love back & forth and back & forth games!! Blowouts are just boring and sometimes the die-hard NFL fan like myself have to flip channels and hoping that the game will get much more better!!

Because of NFL parody, Superbowl blowouts like Superbowl XX, XXIV, XXIX, are a thing of the past. Let's hope it stays that way.
