i dont know if there is a store like that where i live, but in studio city CA if you go to city walk, the store DAPY, is kinda like it. if you look behind the counter in the show, there is a blow up cactus and penguin, my dad has those. not the ones from the show, but the same thing!

There's lots of stores like Over Our Heads where I live.

I don't know if this is a branch across the nation or what, but I live in South Carolina, and in the mall there is a stroe called "Claires" it is JUST LIKE Over Our HEads, I mean, it sells the funkiest stuff you have ever seen!! Anything from Toe-Socks to weird keychains to stuff you just don't know WHAT it is! It's a cool store too!

I live in Nebraska and we have a store called Spencers and it's like Over Our Heads It has neon lights, funny sayings on boxers, gag gifts, talking dolls, funny cards and key chains, Shirts with like the dough boy or the care bears on them & ect. It's a really cool store. I would love to work there but I would probably end up playing with the merchandise way to much.

Yep. Spencer's and Claire's is a chain. I agree that they are like Over Our Heads.

I've been to all the stores you guys have mentioned and Claire's is a make-up type store and Dapy and Spencers look almost exactly the same and it's dark in both of those stores but they sell kind of the same stuff.

Interesting. I wonder if the writers got the idea for Over Our Heads from a store like Spencer's or DAPY. Who knows what would have happened if the writers had visited a different mall that day. "Girls, I've decided not to rebuild Edna's Edibles. Instead, we're going to be partners in an Orange Julius stand!"
