Do you ever find yourself using TDVDS lines in real life? Sorry if this thread has ever been done, but it seemed like fun!

Mine:

"Funny you should ask..." - one of Buddy's stock lines

"Chocolate cake is milk cake." - whenever there is a chocolate cake within view

"...because it's a funnier number." - a non-sequitor I like to use just to see what people say

"...OR..." - another Buddy line... used whenever you're trying to get your friends to buy into something you're telling them, and they don't, so you just admit defeat and move on

I know I have more, I'll see what comes to mind this weekend.

Yep,
I gotta admit, I use lines from the show all the time! I've used the "funny you should ask" line plent of times. And when I've hurt myself doing various jobs around the house, I've used "Honey, if you love me don't touch me!" from episode #52, "Don't Trip Over That Mountain."
And although it's not exactly a line, I frequently tell my girlfriend before bed time, "Don't forget, your 100 brush strokes." To which she faithfully replies, "You wish."

My husband's name is Robert, though he goes by Bob. There have been occasions when things happen and I will say, "Oh, Rob!" When my kids are tattling on each other, I call it "malicious accusery." I've also used the "chocolate cake is milk cake" line. Once when I was having a day where everything was going wrong, I remember saying, "All for a bunch of bananas." There have been others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. These things tend to creep into your subconcious!

Lolac, I love that your husband's name is Robert! My parents were named Dick and Mary, and I'm Richard! Weird, huh? As a kid I went by Richie, without the "t."

What's even weirder is that I never made the connection until LONG after I got into the show, and it just kinda dawned on me one day.

Oh, and another often used line: "Crummy buttons!"

Something is wrong me that I can't remember if I use lines from the show or not?!? I'm sure I've used Laura's "you don't know me better than you think you do!" line before.

Geesh I need to start quoting! I'm way behind!

Hello. I'm new here. I'm enjoying all the old posts. As for the quote that I use often: whenever I hear the name of the city of Wichita, I find myself wanting to say "Ah ah ah Wichita ah-choo!"

I also find myself referring to "the pointy end of the boat."

Those are so great! My personal favorite is Rob's classic response when he's frustrated with Laura, "Aww, Honey!!!" I remember it best in "The Death of the Party" when Rob leaves early in the morning to play golf.
