Do u guys like Beverly Ann? Hardly anyone talks about her. She wasn't my favorite character, but she wasn't bad.

I liked her; she was silly. But no one can ever replace some one like Mrs. G.I guess thats why so many don't like her.

I liked her Bev, not as much as Mrs. G though. But Bev adopted Andy so she is alright in my book!

I liked her, but her character couldn't hold together the series like Charlotte could. It would have stayed on alot longer, into the 90's, if Charlotte had stayed on, but instead they had to hire what they thought could run the series, Cloris Leachman. The 8th season is far by one of the best seasons, while the 9th, is far by the worst season ever. I think that the reason why it was cancelled, was that Pippa and Beverly Ann were so alike in many terms, and it was just annoying. If you watch Newhart, they are like Joanna and Leslie were. Anyway, Cloris may have been a good choice to replace her, but she should have never been replaced. Maybe Charlotte could like renewed DS, with her own sitcom, about a housekeeper. I mean, you can't think of the stupider way if Beverly Ann had a sitcom about her stupid divorce. That also got on my nerves. Her and Frank were too stupid, and the episode where he appeared was stupid, and past that, we thought of the series as...well...bad. Also, we didn't see as much of Jo in the last season, the episodes mainly focused on the other characters, who never really had too many episodes dealing with their character. To make the very long story short, she was OK.

I think that even if Charlotte had stayed, FOL would still have ended at the same time. I guess we’ll never know for sure, but the girls were getting older and the storylines just weren’t as fresh. It just seems the show had run its course. If you think about it, most sitcoms don’t last much longer than FOL did. I might be mistaken but wasn’t FOL the longest running sitcom at the time it ended?
