OK, can somebody please tell me EXACTLY how to set it up so you have two VCR's hooked up at the same time? I have to make a copy of some stuff for somebody, and he told me how to do it, but I got lost after I got after the Video Out step...
In the back of the 1st VCR (the VCR you will pop in your original tape), there is a cable in the Video Out port that's running to the back of your TV. Take the Video Out cable out of your TV and plug that into the 2nd VCR....but which port?
HELP! Quick! Thanks!

I had to wait for almost 3 hours for my answer.
Actually the VCR you're recording on should be on Input select or aux., not channel 3.
1. for the VCR you want to PLAY on, find the output video and output audio
2. place video jacks in each of these holes
3. on the VCR you want to RECORD on, you want to find input video and the input audio
5. use the other side of the jacks that you put into video output into the video input holes
6. do the same for the audio jacks
7. on the record VCR press record , and on the play VCR press PLAY.
These instructions came from my brother who hooked up MY VCR's to record tapes.
You should probably take that other VCR to be fixed. It will probably cost about $100. (speaking from experience).
Hope this helps! Good luck!

The first time I tried doing this, I had a blank tape in an old VCR I had set up...lo and behold, it ate up my blank tape.

It wasn't a TDK tape that got eaten up. It was a Sony. It came in the blue sleeves. :o :(
