I was wondering when Jack was introduced in 1994, I just hated the jerk!! The way he treated the police and treated the female DA's like whores!! No wonder his ex-wife left the perb and I would have loved to see Van Buren haul off and give him a fatlip after he was overzealous when she shot somebody trying to rob her. He is getting mellowed but that guy was just an arrogant and condescending and cared about nobody but himself!!

He was and still can be a bit of an ass but I still like him better than Stone.

I agree but I've noticed that when that new D.A guy got in there. He's very intimidating unlike Adam and Nora!

That other guy, Arthur Branch, is the actor Fred Thompson who was a US senator and was really good at that job. He has been an actor for a long time, I enjoyed his role in FEDS. I am glad they got him, if we can't have Adam, he is the next best thing.
BTW I kinda like both Stone and Mc Coy. What a team that would have been.... except I don't think either of them would have played second banana to each other.

Arthur(Fred Thompson) is like more of a mentor and more of a father figure and like brother to Jack and to all of his ADA's and Adam loved the spotlight and was much of a grouch at least 90% of the time and Nora didn't have much to do and also she didn't have much clout despite being a Dianne Wiest fan but Arthur is more of a behind the scenes person than center of attention and/or hog the spotlight type of guy!! That is what I like!!

Ben Stone just seemed to whine all the time whereas as McCoy is like a Pitbull - constantly going after the crims, doing whatever it takes. One of my favourite eps was when his tenacity got the wrong man behind bars and he couldn't do a thing to make reparations.
