View Full Version : Goofs, Mistakes, Bloopers
Bluestone 06-15-2001, 03:49 PM In chronological order:
The Eastland cafeteria in the first season is not the same one from the rest of the show.
Tootie would not go up and down stairs on roller skates, even a ten year old knows that's suicide.
In the episode "Adoption", Blair states, looking at photos, that both of Natalie's parents have red hair. But we see them both later, and neither one of them do.
In Jo's first episode, we see her enter the cafeteria almost instantly after we hear her drive up. She did not have time to enter the building.
When the girls go to the Chugalug Bar, Jo is wearing white open toed shoes. Later, she is wearing black closed toed shoes.
In the episode "The Secret", Mr. Polniaczek's name is misspelled in the credits.
In the episode "The Four Muskateers", during the pain fight, all four girls repeatedly have to stifle laughing and breaking of character.
In some episodes, Jo's army getup alternates between a dark green shirt and a camouflage jacket to a camouflage shirt and a dark green jacket. Once, this happens between scenes.
In Season six, when Jo is romancing her teacher, he states that she is nineteen years old. However, if keeping in sync with Season 2, Jo should actually be twenty years old.
In one Season Seven episode, Blair's hair changes alternately from her earlier style to the later, straighter style.
In the episode "The Little Chill", Sue Ann's new personality toward Jo, based on their occasional interaction in the Second Season, is rather illogical. This is not necessarily a mistake, just notable.
If anyone else notices any, post!
Division Fan 06-15-2001, 04:07 PM In the episode where Jo tells her parents that she's not going to college, the top button of her shirt is unbuttoned, then buttoned, and it keeps switching back and forth, like between shots. I think that they taped the show twice, and then cut and paste it together using the best scenes.
Adele 06-15-2001, 04:28 PM Or....Maybe she just couldn't decide if she liked it buttoned or unbottoned. Oh, as for the Four Muskateers one, I don't think that is to be considered a mistake!

Devastation26 06-15-2001, 11:48 PM One thing about the hair color of Nat's Parents.....remember, people's hair color can change. Look at Nat's own different hair colors through the run of the series...

There is a similar blooper in "The New Girl" part 2. Just before Jo threatens to glue Blair's shoes together, Blair uniform tie goes from inside her vest to outside, to back in (or vice-versa) in a matter of seconds.
kfoard 06-16-2001, 10:10 AM In the eposide Cousin Geri. Geri's last night is Tyler, all other eposides she's in it's Warner.
In the eposide Brought and Sold. While Tootie and Blair are talking in the room, Jo goes out, and you can see Natalie waiting in the hall for her que.
In the eposide Adoption Blair said that Natalie's birthday was September 2nd which would make her a virgo, but in the eposide Freesprit Natlaie told Alex that her sign is a Taures. Which means her birthday is in April or May.
In the eposide where they go to Atlantic city and see Fly man. We can assume that Blair has already turned 21 because she’s gambling; however Blair doesn't turn 21 until the following week when they celerbrate her birthday
Bluestone 06-22-2001, 03:32 PM There were a couple in the recently shown ones:
In "The Interview Show":
Tootie says that she got her nickname from her first year at Eastland, but earlier, when her father visited, he instantly called her Tootie.
Also, she changes her mind about that a lot. In the beginning of the season, she wanted to be called by her real name, but everyone kept forgetting. In this episode, she doesn't wants to be called Tootie. (This isn't really a goof, just an observation.)
In Out of the Frying Pan:
When Blair finds Mr. Frog, he is brutally scorched, but you can still see some green on him. Later, he is completely blackened.
In Part II:
The fat guy's shirt pops in and out of his pants in a couple of shots.

JoJoJoJoJoJoJoJoJo 06-22-2001, 03:57 PM In "It's Lonely Up Top" nto sure if that's the exact title...but when Blair told Natalie and Tootie to do the dough rolling test thing and then gave them a hairnet Nat puts her hair net on and it covers her bangs, then the camera goes to blair then to nat and her bangs are out, then it goes to Blair again and back to Nat and the bangs are back in.

Blair: Hold it, you ruined my watch.
Jo: No I didn't, it's a stop watch...it stopped
Jo: So things change, you're born, ya move on, ya die, that's life.
Blair: Don't get too mushy on us!
Bluestone 06-22-2001, 06:42 PM In the episode in which we see Tootie's mother, she is adressed as Diane. But in the credits she is called Pauline.
FOL_lover 06-22-2001, 08:33 PM During season 3, in the episode The Academy, Mrs. G's bug is pale blue. Later, in season 4, in the episode Under Pressure her bug is described as yellow, though she is hoping Blair will get it painted blue. Also her bug is yellow in the episode Tootie Drives, during season 7.
lighthouse965 06-24-2001, 03:07 PM In the episode "Tootie drives" notice the
palm trees in the background as Tootie is
taking her drivers test.
Todd
Livin' La Vida Peekskill 06-24-2001, 03:40 PM We can assume it is Eastland uniform regulations to wear the maroon tie only with the blue sweater and the navy tie with the maroon vest because that seems to be the pattern the girls follow in all the episodes.
In the early episode in Season 4 where that rich lady Marie whats to make Jo her hier, in the first scene before Marie announces her decision to give Jo the money, Natalie wears her navy tie with the blue sweater.
Wild Child 06-24-2001, 07:02 PM I don't know if this would be considered a blooper or mistake or whatever but you know when the girl so to Nat's grandma's condo in malibu? No one was dressed as if it were hot.You would think they'd be walking around in shorts at least but noooo.I'll shut up now.

Warm & Fuzzy 06-24-2001, 07:12 PM that is so true
kfoard 06-25-2001, 02:19 PM It's Lonely at the top. When Jo opens the cash register at the end of the eposide, if you look close you can see that there's no money in the cash register.

Natalie: you call this dinner I call it gas for less
Natalie: five years of marriage and you touched me once how come
Tootie: it was an accident
Blair: look I know a phony when I see one

folfan01 06-25-2001, 04:43 PM This isn't really a mistake but it's kinda neat. Tootie's obsessed with Micheal Jackson and Jermaine Jackson and their sister is Janet Jackson who plays Charlene on Different Strkes and the people on fol know the people on different strokes. Get what I mean?
