This is so cool. I was watching yesterday's epidisode. (I think the one about the mysterious "pink" lady who wanted Mike to design her building.) In the opening shot Mike is closing a sliding glass window which directly faces their bed, such that they could look out when they were in bed.

At first I thought that this was just an added thing. But in reality, it shows a unique aspect of the house which was just never shown or utilized for some reason.

Judging from the position of their bedroom, the patio/balcony would overlook the downstairs patio. It would occupy the area above the kitchen.
