Cheryl Harrell 01-30-2004, 04:46 PM Wow, didn't realize he was on there. I bet I've seen it before tho cuz I used to watch Mr Ed in the 60's as a kid & saw re-runs thru the yrs. Wish I still had TVLAND so I could see it again... Danisel331 01-30-2004, 06:43 PM Yeah, Ms Jenny!:) I love to watch him on there. He's only on a few shows, but he plays Kay's brother, Paul. ;) Joy 01-31-2004, 04:11 PM I saw him on bonanza last night...he was in the episode that must have been wqritten by Michael landon as it was the same as a little house on the prarie episode. (Has anyone else noticed how those two shows have the same stories?) anyway, Jack played Mr Johnson an elderly man who finds two orphaned boys who are going to be seperated when one is adopted and the other is not (because he doesn't talk) Jack wants to adopt them and tries to re start his farm so he can have an income to provide for them. On little house the role was played by Dub taylor and he was the cranky old fella that helped out at the blind school. Anyway it was a wonderful episode and it was fun to see Jack in the role. hue_mee 01-31-2004, 04:15 PM Hey Joy that is too cool! Thanks Adamantium 01-31-2004, 06:27 PM Jack Albertson guest starred in like 2 or 3 episode in the first three seasons. Then in season 4, after the death of Larry Keating, Jack came in for about 6 episodes, before he was replaced with the Leon Ames character. Jack was really just a filler until they found the new neighbor. I don't think he thought he was a permanet addition to the show. Two of his episodes are included in "The Best of Mister Ed: Volume 1" on DVD. |
