I thought I'd be a fan forever, but once you've seen evey episode, you get kind of get sick of the show. Blair isn't the same because you've heard all of her ideas. You've heard all of Jo's smart remarks. You've heard all of Tootie's problems. And you've heard all of Nat's stories. I just think it is starting to suck, what about you?

Facts Of Life is a wonderful show,and I have taped many of what I think are the best episodes.I understand how some can get tired of a show if you have seen every episode over and over and over and over and over again,but not everyone feels that way.Familiarity never breeds contempt if you are a TRUE fan-as many of these posters seem to be.

How could you not get tired of it, watching the episodes over and over? That's why you take a break and come back to it when the jokes and the stories start to get a little fuzzy. That's what I do. Same with music, I have a hundred CDs that I've played a gazillion times. After a time I need to put them on the shelf and not look at them for a while or else they'd drive me crazy. It's always fun to come back to them and go "oh yeah, that's why I love it so much!"

I gotta agree with FactsFan4Ever... well, it's doesn't exactally suck, but I've just lost interest. I'm not as "obsessed" as I used to be, I'm more obsessed with Nancy and The Divsion than FOL. Everybody is enitiled to their own opinion. You don't have to put down everybody's opinions though. That's why I hate coming to this board, most everybody has such a bad attitude towards everybody and everything. God, just stop.

You're right! I've tried that before with other things. I think the thing that I watch most now is Friends, but I don't think many people do. FOL has to most dedicated fans. That also makes it bad. It isn't cool anymore because everybody is watching it. I like to be my own person, who agrees? I mean, you can be your own person and still watch FOL, but I just don't like being in the middle of a huge fad.

Actually, although I don't watch friends, I strongly sense that it is watched by more ppl by far than FOL. When I go out into "the real world", I always hear ppl discussing that show.

Friends is a show of today, so naturally the current audience will be greater than that of FOL. FOL, on the other hand, does have several fans, considering that it is a show from the 80's. And astoundingly, FOL is the most discussed TV sitcom on the internet (so it appears). But that doesn't necessarily make it the most popular....

Why is something not cool just because alot of people like it? I get tired of people who stop liking something - a show, a song, a fashion style - just because it becomes popular. If you like the show then watch it, if you don't like the show then don't watch it. It shouldn't matter how many others like it. That being said, I don't think FOL has that many viewers. Definitely not more than Friends. I personally don't know anyone else who watches FOL, besides all of you on this board.

There is a lot of closet watchers. I've watched FOL since 1997 and I never even knew a website existed or that groups and message boards like this existed until March. Maybe you just don't know the right people.

The same episodes over and over do get a little monotonous, but that doesn't lessen the quality of the show. It only lessens the thrill of watching an episode. I don't think that it's the show itself that "sucks." One thing that keeps me hooked is the show's uniqueness. I mean, there just aren't as many shows a good or funny or valuable on nowadays.

I agree with all of the posts here. Here is how I feel, I don't like being popular. I am always trying to get rid of it. Whenever I like something at my school, in the time of a day or two, everyone else in my class is talking about it. I get sick of everyone always quoting the characters. It isn't as bad anymore because it is summer. I'll start liking it again, but it won't be the same. It might be better. About the Friends thing, most people that watch it are adults. I am only 14. I know of 2 other 12 year old girls that watch it. Umm...let's see. Oh, the spin off from FOL was really good too. It only ran for a few months, but it was good.

I agree with you. On the other boards, everyone is more friendly. Here they put other shows down. Like saying Gilligan's Island should be taken off after the FIRST year and that Three's Company and Diff'rents Trokes shouldn't be shown as much. Even though it seems like there are a lot of FOL fans, there really aren't. And DS, TC, and BB are shown a lot because they are the top 3 shows.
