Anyone want to share their opinion on this episode?

I thought it was unique. It was the only episode that I've seen that actually has Gladyz Krvitz not being nosy. She actually talks to Samantha as a neighbour. I was impressed with this episode, the plot, and the uniqueness of Gladyz Kravitz not being so nosy. :) One of my fav episodes!

PS I would right more but I'm practically fallinh asleep in front ofm y keyboard :(

I love Prodigy! It's not your everyday Bewitched episode. It's unique as you said. Personally, one of the things I love about this episode is that Abner's cracks about Louis are hilarious! I mean Abner's jokes are always hilarious, but in this episode they really get to me. And that one near the end Play like you eat! is a riot.

This episode was about Glady's brother who is afraid of playing a violin because of an embarassing event that happened when he was younger (His pants fell down in mid-performance). So Samantha, with the help of magic, tries to bestow some confidence in him so he can play again. And he is a big success. Only to have his pants fall down again...this time on National TV! The very last black and whitre show, and it was quite good.

It's an odd coincidence that Alice Pearce died after the last B&W ep.

Actually she had already died before the episode aired. She won a posthumous Emmy as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy, and her widower accepted the award for her. Marion Lorne won the same Emmy posthumously two years later. TVTome lists the filming dates of each ep, and I think this one was filmed at the end of the 1st season. I seem to remember it started w/ a flashback to when it happened, which was how a lot of eps where Sam (and Liz) were pregnant could be mixed w/ scenes where she wasn't, or vice versa.

whoops, that's right (sorry)...I just meant that it's funny she missed appearing in a color ep by just a hair. It's as though she was only meant to appear in the B&W eps....

The end was funny. Abner's all, "It's the knickers routine again! This time coast-to-coast!"

Abner was at his funniest in this episode.
