So, I was trying to figure out how to get a list of Emmy nominations by year online (and failed miserably), but I came across an Emmy Trivia site and I thought people might be interested to know some of the records that "Cheers" holds (or held as of 2001). . .

It holds 28 Emmys--the fourth most in TV history (after Frasier, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and the Academy Awards).

It holds the record for most times nominated w/ 117 nominations.

It's tied for second for most Best Comedy Series Emmys.

Kelsey Grammer is the only person ever to be nominated for playing the same character on the three different television series (Cheers, Wings, & Frasier).
