Folks, since 1972, Johnny Olson was the original announcer on The Price is Right until his death in 1985 from Santa Monica, CA and he suffered from celebral hemhorrage. Since 1986, Rod Roddy was the announcer on The Price is Right until his death in 2003 from Los Angeles, CA and he suffered from colon & breast cancer. So this year, Daniel Rosen will be the new announcer on The Price is Right. So I hope it's MARAVILLOSO!!!

Oh god no, he better not be the new TPIR announcer!

He has no enthusiasm whatsoever, and his announcing style is out of sync with the show. Randy West or Burton Richardson over this clown any day. :)

Well it's for the best of the show. I did like Rod Roddy.

Daniel Rosen might be an all-new announcer since Randy West, Burton Richardson and Art Sanders are becoming rotating announcers on "The Price Is Right". Both Johnny Olsen and Rod Roddy are gone, Daniel Rosen is after Rod.

TPIR actually began in 1956 & was originally hosted by Bill Cullen. The original announcer was Don Pardo, not Johnny Olson.

I can't believe they're considering giving Daniel Rosen the job. I mean he is boring, annoying, and stresses EVERY syllable. He is a horrible replacement for Rod Roddy. Burton Richardson would be a nice replacement. I think Burton had it kinda tough though, because he had to come in right after Rod Roddy's death. I hope he doesn't get the job.

P.S. Sympathy goes out to Rod Roddy's family even this long after his death. It was a shock to me when I found out and I'm sure it was and still is a tough thing to get through for them. It was almost as if I had lost a member of my own family. Everyday he was on my TV, and I got used to him. Sure he wasn't the first announcer for The Price is Right, but he was one announcer that no one will ever forget. He was the only announcer on a gameshow that got showed frequently. He was probably as popular as Bob, and it's disappointing not seeing him there everyday. Rod was not only a great announcer, but was also a nice, friendly guy.

I saw it on TV on my DVR since I came home from work that Rich Fields was picked as the new "Price Is Right" announcer. Thanks to Bob Barker.:woohoo: Sorry! Burton Richardson, Randy West, Don Bishop, Roger Rose and Daniel Rosen will not be getting their jobs anymore.:(
