I got Lisa's weekly email and it stated that she will not be on Praise the Lord the 28th or the Lewis telethon. Im really bummed as I have been looking forward to seeing PTL for over a month now. The odd thing is no explanation was given for the cancelations. On a brighter note her website will be up within 2 weeks.

There has got to be a good reason for the cancellations. These (I'm guessing), have been planned for too long.)

Dear friends,

I'm sorry I missed sending out last week's tip. I have two excuses.
One is lame, the other is pretty good. First, the lame one. I really
thought I was going to be able to announce the launch of the website, so I
kept putting off writing the tip because I wanted to share the good news. As
it turns out, the website is finished, but after looking it all over, there
were a few changes I wanted to make to make it even more fabulous. So, it's
my fault but it looks like it will be another week or so. I'm sorry, I just
want it to be perfect for you.
The second excuse is pretty fun. We were on our "Shakedown Cruise"
over the weekend. We loaded up the RV and went to Newport Beach for our
trial run. We learned SO MUCH! One of the things we learned was that modem
hookups are going to be a little harder to come by than we anticipated. I
was unable to send the tip because I couldn't get connected to the Internet.

Steve is looking into cell phone and satellite technology for the trip
because it is critical that I be able to upload my journal entries and photos
everyday so you can keep up with us on the trip via the website.
Sorry for all the excuses but I hate letting you down. Thanks for
understanding.

TIP:
“Correction Can”

Make a homemade “Correction” can and fill it with tickets or slips of paper with
various consequences written on them. Instead of giving your child a time-out,
send her to the can for a slip. A few ideas might include no TV or computer for
a night, early bedtime, or an extra chore. Toss in a blank piece of paper, a
“mercy” ticket. This gives you an opportunity to talk about how God gives us
mercy even when we deserve punishment.

The most obvious explanation is that Lisa doesn't have time in her schedule to do book promotion right now, due to her pending RV trip. A lot of pre-planning is involved in leaving a home for a year. Plus she'll be out on the road during Labor Day weekend, so perhaps she realized that the telethon just wouldn't work in her jam-packed schedule.

Maybe she is busy making the FOL reunion!
