View Full Version : The Lists. updates
Maestro 01-28-2004, 03:03 PM As many of you know, I'm a Seinfeld trivia hobbyist.
Any decent sein triv source will include some type of list or 2 with various repeated or referenced items.
Most of the sites out there have the standard "lists" so the info is out there. For 'kix' I've been compiling a couple lists, either a little different ones or maestroized versions of the ones usually listed.
We've had a couple of threads on this forum & we we're compiling them. But this type of crapola is such excruciating minutia that doesn't work so well (plus... few care ;) ).
Any-hoo, there were a few recent mentions, so I thought I would let you know if you want to see them or any info from them (ya, like we need the info  ), just let me know, hit their thread if there is one, or post here. I just plod along & add to them when I can. Some of these are small & just starting. There's so many seins on TV you can catch a few.
If you ever have any notable additions, other than the routine listing, to any of these lists, please let me know. Once I "do" an episode for a certain list, it should be pretty thorough.

Elaine Benes 01-28-2004, 05:01 PM I do  Educate me babe. ;)
Maestro 01-28-2004, 09:52 PM Which list would you like to see or like info on?
I'm almost finished w/ the superhero list.
Here's one you'll like. I thought it would be bigger but I have many eps to review for this list.
I love Elaine's patented "GET OUT!" either with or without the double handed shove (preferably with).
The Lists: "Get Out!":
29 The Red Dot: E to G as he gives her the sweater. Also, E shoves J when he gives her back her lost watch.
045 The Wallet: E to K, 2/3 in, 5A, when E 1st arrives, K tells her he came back from Cali for her,
E: "Kramer, Hi, I thought you went to California."
K: "Well I came back for you." E: "Oh, shut up!" (w/ a double handed chest shove).
60 The Junior Mint: E to Roy, 1/3 in, Roy's hospital room, when Roy tells her he lost the weight because of her. ROY: (quietly) "yeah, after you stopped seeing me, I was devastated. I couldn't eat for weeks." E: "Get out!" ROY: Really, it's the truth.
070 The Lip Reader: E to J, 1/3 in, 5A, J tells E he met a deaf lineswoman,
E: "You are kidding... That is amazing!" (a decent double handed shove knocks J into K) "I just took a car service from work and to get the driver to not talk to me, I pretended I was going deaf."
-thanx to sinatrastar
111 The Engagement: E to J, A huge one, J tells her G is getting married.
116 The Soup Nazi: E to K, toward end, huge one, knocks K down & through the doorway when K tells her where he got the armoire, K: "I'll tell ya where I got it. I got it from the guy you so callously refer to as the Soup Nazi." E: "Get out!"
137 The Bizarro Jerry: E to Kevin, huge one, toward end, Kevin’s apartment, knocks him down when he tells her they got great tickets to the Bolshoi Ballet.
EDIT:added 070 The Lip Reader
Maestro 01-28-2004, 09:58 PM I know you know who Larry David is... anyone ever pay any attention to 'Ruthie Cohen?"
sinatrastar 01-29-2004, 01:03 AM What about in The Lip Reader - after Jerry tells Elaine he met a deaf woman she gives him a shove and something like "shut-up" since she just faked being deaf. I dont think it was an actual Get Out though.

What about Ruthie?

Thanx-that's cool... if she pulls a "SHUT-UP!" with a shove, that qualifies for the list. I'll check it out.

What about Ruthie?
Just wondered who knows who she is.
[a little over analytical but] I kind of feel like her role is a tribute to the silent, uncredited workers who are out there everyday, banging out the grind with out complaint.
Jerry shows that he notices.
From 120 The Gum:
[Monks']
(Jerry and George sitting in a booth, much as usual.)
GEORGE: You think she's happy?
JERRY: Who?
GEORGE: (indicates with his head) The cashier.
JERRY: Ruthie Cohen?
GEORGE: (surprised) You know her name?
JERRY: Sure.
GEORGE: I don't think I've ever spoken to her.
JERRY: Maybe that's why she's happy.
Maestro 01-29-2004, 06:08 PM Brian, I take it you've seen her/know who she is?
Pretty much finished the superhero list. If anyone wants to see that monstrocity say so.
The cereal list is sickly senseless... & will grow
Brian Damage 01-29-2004, 11:16 PM Yeah, I know who Ruthie Cohen is. I tried to do a search on actresses named Ruthie Cohen and came up empty. Bring the list on.

For the superhero list do you have what appears to be a drawing of Superman on Jerry's fridge? I think it is in The Stall.
Maestro 01-30-2004, 12:35 PM sinatrastar, nice shove addition for the list, thanx.
Also, re: The Stall Superman, I thought you meant the magnet that is frequently on the fridg, but you mean the 8X10 cartoonish drawing of S-Man on the fridg, good eye! I have that one logged on the Superman list. Also in that ep, George gives Mimbo a Superman comic when he comes to visit, the Superman magnet is present and there is no Superman fugurine on the bookshelf.
Since he's a cartoon figure, I also added 'Zippy The Pinhead, J mentions Elain;s fear that post accident Mimbo Tony may look like Zippy.
Brian, I'll get a Ruthie appearence list up here this eve, I got to run for a while.
Brian Damage 01-30-2004, 02:17 PM I wonder if she was a friend of someone in the crew? Do you know her real name?
Maestro 01-30-2004, 06:26 PM Yes.
The actress' name is Ruthie Cohen. The cashier character's name is Ruthie Cohen. That's what I 1st found interesting.
She is credited as such on 120 The Gum, a few scenes & tellS G his car is on fire...
And at some times credited with a one word line in 161 The Junk Mail, "sure" when Elaine asks to use the phone.
