You know in the episode where the girls come back to find that Edna's Edibles has been burned to a crisp?
The insurance guy is from Trans-Allied! That's Mr. Drummond's company from Diff'rent Strokes. You'd think he'd help out more with his former <maybe favorite> housekeeper!

Jack: You know what your trouble is, Chrissy? You're a compulsive eater!
Chrissy: I am not! I'm just always hungry.

Agent #99: Max, do you think it's a KAOS agent?
Max: Either that or your mother!

I don't know, maybe not. In the interview show, Mrs. Garrett talked about the Peace Corps, "and then I came to Eastland", completely forgetting to mention her job as the Drummond's housekeeper. Who knows, maybe there was a lot of antagonism between Mr. D. and Mrs. G. over her broken promise to return to his employment once her "temporary" job as housemother was over. So she decided to forget about her old job, and later Mr. D. told his insurance adjustor to compensate Mrs. G. as little as possible for the destruction of Edna's Edibles.

I don't think so, TV Guy. Mr. D invited Mrs. G to his wedding.

I think Mrs. G was the only angry one. Thats why she left him out. And Mr.D didn't even know Mrs. G's shop burned down so he couldn't cover it.

She said something along the lines of "After my sons grew up I did a lot of things. Drove a taxi, I was even in the Peace Corp. But then Eastland happened and that was right up my alley". Obviously she was only hitting the high points and left out some things.

As far as the insurance goes, she was RENTING the store from her son. HIS insurance would have paid to repair the 7store in the real world and you can bet your CPA he would have kept it current. Her business insurance would have covered the goods in the store, lost income, etc. That's a minor point but it's always kinda' bugged me.

Good points about the wedding invitation and Raymond Garrett owning the building. I still like the idea of hard feelings between Mrs. Garrett and Mr. Drummond, though. I think the Edna's Edibles fire was arson, and Mr. D. had something to do with it (maybe Pearl was the arsonist).

"I found a red hair in my keish!"

They can't be the same Trans-Allied though, Mr. Drummond's company made steel - they didn't sell insurance...
