View Full Version : Sitcoms Online Best Actor Oscars vashti1999 01-27-2004, 11:53 AM Your pick: favorite, best, rooting for. HuntingtonM15 01-27-2004, 12:18 PM Jude Law dr frasier crane 01-27-2004, 03:32 PM Bill Murray LucyCompanyPhan 01-27-2004, 11:19 PM I'd say Bill Murrey. Ben Kingsley would be a huge surprise (like Adrien Brody's win last year) Sean Penn would be a surprise over Bill Murrey. Johnny Depp was a long shot just getting his nom let alone a win. Jude Law was an average performace, but i do really like him as an actor. TJL 01-27-2004, 11:29 PM Bill Murray - Only because I am dying to see his speech. Janice 01-27-2004, 11:33 PM I haven't seen all the movies listed, but I did see Mystic River, and I would be extremely surprised if Sean Penn doesn't win the Oscar. His performance was riveting and heartbreaking....his best role to date, in my opinion. animalcrackers 01-28-2004, 07:23 AM I know Johnny is a long shot, but my vote is for him. Central Perk 01-28-2004, 11:12 AM I'm pretty sure Sean Penn will win, but if he doesn't I bet Bill Murray will. EricIdlefan 01-28-2004, 04:25 PM Bill Murray!! Rhiannon 01-28-2004, 06:56 PM Johnny Depp....he is so hot not to mention, he's been one of my favorite actors for years. GeorgeJefferson 01-28-2004, 08:40 PM Although I haven't seen Lost in Translation yet, I hope Bill Murray wins just to make things interesting. Sean Penn did do a good job in Mystic River, but he always snubs the Academy by not showing up and will probably give some annoying liberal statement if he does...so I say give it to Murray, who's earned this honorable recognition. A side note: I wonder if Ben Kingsley, when he won the Oscar for his signature role in Gandhi, ever thought he would be up against that "wild and crazy guy" from SNL or the guy who played Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High that same year. Liza 01-28-2004, 09:41 PM I can't believe Johnny Depp's nominated! OMG, how cool is that! He's sooo never gonna win, but I'm still rooting for him ;) dandelion wine 01-28-2004, 10:33 PM My money's on Sean Penn. Liza 01-29-2004, 09:35 PM Originally posted by little insomniac My money's on Sean Penn. He'll probably win. Especially since this is going to be his very first Oscar Ceremony that he's going to attend :) Ewan's My Man 01-30-2004, 12:00 AM Johnny Depp...I have never loved a movie character as much as I loved him. Well, I take that back...Ewan was pretty hard to beat in Moulin Rouge, but Johnny Depp, he's amazing. I know he won't win, but my votes for him. dandelion wine 01-30-2004, 01:00 AM Originally posted by Liza He'll probably win. Liza 01-30-2004, 01:09 PM And, Sean Penn was totally robbed two years ago. He definately should have won for I AM SAM :D GeorgeJefferson 01-30-2004, 10:03 PM Originally posted by Liza He announced that he's coming. Oh really? Well that should make the situation interesting if he loses. He's not exactly known for his impeccable ability to hold his temper. HAHA. I hope Murray wins. vashti1999 01-31-2004, 04:19 AM Originally posted by Liza And, Sean Penn was totally robbed two years ago. He definately should have won for I AM SAM :D After I said the same thing about Denzel Washington being robbed previously for The Hurricane and Malcolm X, I'm glad he took that award for Training Day Ria 01-31-2004, 06:02 PM I say Sean Penn as well--heartbreaking. . . |
