View Full Version : Anybody ever feel totally outta the loop?
david&maddie4ever 01-26-2004, 03:43 PM Sometimes I feel so pathetic. :( I was shopping today, and I saw the new Grammy Nominees CD. I swear, there were only about 3 songs on that whole album that I've even heard of! :o I get reamed for it at school, too. I like country and oldies, and everybody else likes all that other crap...;) I'm never part of anything that's big with everybody else. I dunno...I feel so...old! Anybody else ever feel like this?

*Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-26-2004, 03:50 PM I usually like stuff that other people don't like because most kids my age are stupid. But I don't feel old, I just feel smarter.

EricIdlefan 01-26-2004, 05:59 PM Back in school, middle and primary, I didn't have a lot of friends at all, even in high school because I was shy, quiet, didn't say much, and kept mainly to myself because I am a very private person who guards her privacy very well. I was the only girl who like football and none of the girls didn't care much for the sport. I just am no good with words so I express my words by writing to people letters and e-mails.

Glad I can make you laugh! I hope you plan on becoming vegetarian, that would be great! :)
Hollow 01-26-2004, 06:22 PM Don't worry about it! :) that's fine. i used to be a conformist and i tried to keep up with all the latest music, movies, tv etc. and it got tiring after awhile so i gave up and im glad i did. im out of the loop all the time now and i dont care.

Me either...Burger King is too inviting.
I feel out of the loop all the time. Lifetime isn't exactly everyone's favorite channel.
PZelda 01-26-2004, 07:12 PM Nah! I broke away from that mold early on...I never really watched any of the past TV shows while they were in their original run (I did watch Home Improvement in its first run...that was one). I was obsessed with 70's and 80's TV shows when I was in junior high, and that carried on to high school. While everybody was watching all the latest TV shows, I was sitting at home, watching my tapes of "Mama's Family". :D
I also got into the sitcoms early on in life...I remember watching "Cheers" in 1988, even though I was too young to understand it...but I remember it...It seems like I remember TV shows geared towards adults more than I remember the ones geared towards kids.
I'm proud to be me. :D

I am very glad there are other people like me! :D My tastes are just so different from everybody else's. I mean, when my friends have conversations, I can't even join in! :o It's pathetic, but I'm not gonna change. Hmph. So there.

I feel. I'd be the same way cuz I don't listen to new music. Most of it doesn't appeal to me.
Most of my fav songs come out of the 60s-80s.
