Does anyone else find the E-bay banner at the top of this board annoying? I do. We got software to block the pop-up ads, now we have to deal with this. Just wondering.

My first reaction was, "Did I get the wrong website?" Then,"Hey, what's going on here?" But now that I think about it, I don't mind. Nothing in this world is free, so you know this site is costing sombody something, yet I get to read and post here at no charge to me, and I like that. That banner is one of the reasons why. Plus, it's on subject! It's not about taking viagra, finding a date tonight, or a porn site add, it's about TDVDS paraphernalia. I like that too.

I'm just testing it out for a few weeks to see how it does. Yes, the costs of running the site and message boards are pretty high and with people using pop-up blockers more and more (which I really don't blame them for) sites have to look for other ways to cover their costs.

The banners get old after awhile, I'd rather offer visitors something that is targeted to them and they might be interested in.

I understand, TJ, I know you have to do what's best for your business. I agree with Steve that I enjoy being able to post on this board at no cost to us, so I know you have to do what you have to do. I have to admit, I checked out a couple of the items on that e-Bay ad! I didn't buy anything, though. Anyway, thanks for your good work.
