View Full Version : Ok...it's like...red outside... Ewan's My Man 01-26-2004, 01:11 AM Seriously...I'm looking out my window...and it's like...red outside. PZelda 01-26-2004, 01:20 AM Streetlights, perhaps? ....well, that would make the sky orange, not red. I live in a VERY heavily streetlighted area (being near so many trailer park courts and a major interstate highway), so there's been many days where the sky was literally entirely orange at 3 in the morning. You could've gone outside and not needed a flashlight, because it was so easy to see outside at that time. SBTB Geek 01-26-2004, 01:22 AM That's how it was in my neighborhood yesterday, it was really odd, especially since I'm near the coast, most of time at night it's really misty blue. Ewan's My Man 01-26-2004, 01:28 AM It's getting darker, but there's still a reddish tint to it. It can't be streetlights b/c the only thing behind my house is a road...with no lights on it...and farms...lots of farms.. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-26-2004, 11:42 AM Hm...I remember that happening sometimes here, too, but I never really paid much attention to it. Probably just the lights. webuster 01-26-2004, 01:38 PM A few days ago over here, the sky was like, orange- not mixed- just flat orange- like it'd been painted. Then purple- and the buildings in the background were pink. It was freezing outside too though- but everyone was creeped out that I kept mentioning the nice colours- nobody else I talked to afterwards had really noticed! I wish I had a camera to take a picture of it-it was really nice. Nanny Fine 01-26-2004, 02:42 PM It's ice storming here. No school (which sucks because it means no work) and it's supposed to do this all night which probably means no school (or work) tomorrow either. It sucks. :( Ewan's My Man 01-26-2004, 02:50 PM No school today And it's supposed to ice/snow tonight and tomorrow And snow on Wednesday And snow on Friday!!! Rockapella722 01-26-2004, 09:49 PM Yeah, that happens when it snows at night. It just what your eyes do, to contrast the "black" that it's supposed to be with the white snow. Nanny Fine 01-26-2004, 09:51 PM school is cancelled tomorrow. sucks. PZelda 01-26-2004, 09:54 PM Originally posted by Nanny Fine school is cancelled tomorrow. sucks. KerriBerri687 01-26-2004, 10:10 PM hmmm...interesting. cant say its red here...just grey...all day...grey...its really um..nice Kay Scarpetta 01-26-2004, 10:23 PM Maybe it's my hair  I dyed it red... I dyed it twice in a row.. and my hair is glowing DianeChambers87 01-26-2004, 10:30 PM Originally posted by Nanny Fine It is ice storming here. I dont mind the weather so much I just hate missing work. I wish it would at least sleet and at least we could feign our hopes of missing school...but uh...that's not happening. The only time we would have an equivalent to a snow day is well a flood day during hurricane season...but who wants one of those? Sorry about you missing work though, that must be kind of tough being locked down in your house because it snowed too much or it's too cold outside. Seriously though, if anyone on here has seen the movie "Body Heat" Lawrence Kasdan captures the heat and humidity of South Florida PERFECTLY...that's how it basically is all year, sometimes it's nice but sometimes it's unbearable. |
