Wow. What a lousy episode.
I liked the beginning scene with Jinny and Internal Affairs. I really enjoyed seeing her defend herself and talk tough like she usually does. Also, I really liked how she refused to lie about what she did and how she made it clear that she was willing to accept the consequences of her actions, whether they were good or bad. I am glad that she was cleared of all charges. But how about that potential Jinny and Cap scene, huh? When Jinny tried to get Cap to tell her if she thought the shooting was justified, I thought, "Yes! Here comes a great moment." But when Cap backed down after Jinny tried to get it out of her twice, that really pissed me off. We all know that Cap thinks Jinny did wrong. Jinny even knows and you could tell by her facial expression that she was hurt over Cap not believing her. But I wanted to see them get into an argument. That would've been great. But no, we got screwed out of that.
Poor Raina. I felt very bad for her. She was put in a really difficult position. She knew what happened and she didn't want to lie yet she didn't want to compromise Jinny's career and life either. And she did lie. When IA asked her if Jinny provoked Sanchez, Raina told them she didn't know. But she in fact did know. She saw and heard Jinny taunting Sanchez. And then she told Cap she did the right thing, but I'm not so sure Raina thinks she did the right thing. She seemed so unsure of her answers to the questions that IA asked her. And I can't believe Magda gave her that guilt trip. She had no right trying to guilt Raina into lying to protect Jinny. Okay, I love Jinny and I admit, it would've pissed me off had Raina decided to be all goody goody and honest, but damn, she was already nervous enough and she didn't need Magda making her feel guilty like that. I understand where Magda was coming from because she was looking out for Jinny and Jinny kicks ass, but poor Raina. I don't think that Raina meant it when she told the IA that what Jinny did was right. But I don't care because I love Jinny and I didn't want her to get suspended or to lose her job.
Now, Magda. Okay, when that guy walked into The Division and started flirting with Magda, I thought, "Holy ****! Is she having another affair?" and then when Magda referred to him as Gabe, I burst out laughing uncontrollably. There goes yet another actor suddenly disappearing off the show. Only instead of having this one disappear into thin air with no mention, they just changed the actor. I didn't care much for the Magda/Gabe scenes either. Did you all notice how Magda kept calling him Gabe? It's like the writers were trying to say to us, "Hey! This new guy is GABE." Yeah, thanks jackasses we got it. I don't like Magda and I don't feel bad for her. She's the one who cheated and now she has to deal with it. I'm glad Gabe left her sorry ass.
Not much of Nate. Notice how he and that blonde lady were kind of flirting in the beginning? Jesus christ, none of that now.
The case sucked. From the promos, they made it sound like it had some sort of interesting twist to it. Uh... husband cheats on wife, wife walks in on husband and his lover, wife shoots husband in a fit of rage. That has already been done many times before and it was nothing new. Boring case. Nothing new or shocking there. Though I did find it nice of Cap to try to convince that woman to get help.
My god, could Stacy possibly be more annoying? She follows Cap around like a lost puppy, always there chattering and saying and doing things that no one cares about. Go away Stacy, you obnoxious bitch.
