DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY DIXIE CARTER WAS REPLACED FOR THE LAST SEASON OF DIFFERENT STROKES? DID SHE QUIT OR WAS SHE FIRED?

I heard a rumor that she didn't really get along too well with the cast (especially Dana Plato) and that may have been a factor in her leaving.. or maybe it because she had a contract for NBC and couldn't leave for ABC for the last season.

I was a fan of that show. She was not a cast member on it. Don't remember if she guest starred or not.

I think DC said it was a def mutual decision. She doesn’t seem like the type that would put up with the child actor’s shenanigans backstage and Coleman was raising hell every time he could.
