NBC has been promoting "Friends" as the funniest show of all time.

Must (if not all) of us.... know thats not true.

What do you think is the funniest show of all time??

For me, it's a tie among The Brady Bunch, Family Matters, and Perfect Strangers.

More and more I am convinced that "Family Guy" is the funniest show I have ever seen.
I was watching a few episodes on DVD this afternoon and I was laughing out loud repeatedly.

Ellen but FRIENDS is my other favorite show so I think it's one of the funniest of all time.

Sanford and Son. I have yet to see an episode from that show that doesn't make me laugh.

Family Matters and Perfect Strangers make sense.

But as for The Brady Bunch.... I love the show.... but comon.... its not that funny.

The Odd Couple, Simpsons, and Futurama.

NewsRadio is one of the few shows where I laugh out loud at. Most shows, I just watch and think to myself "That's funny". That's why my vote for Funniest Show Ever goes to the 90's Cult Classic "NewsRadio".

Also, "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" and "Wings" have had the same affect on me that "NewsRadio" has. I just tend to laugh more while watching "NewsRadio".

Ive been dying to see NewsRadio.... I hear such good things about it.... but I dont think its in syndication.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe is the funniest show of all time, but Friends is my favorite show.

The early "Friends" episodes were hysterical but it's not the funniest show of all-time. Heck, any "NYPD Blue" episode where either David Caruso or Dennis Franz show their asses is funnier than most of the newer episodes of "Friends"

I've been getting into "Ellen" reruns on Lifetime. Other hysterical shows are "Newsradio", "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "The Office" and "Family Guy". "Arrested Development" and "Andy Richter ontrols the universe" also make the list.

Coach - Hayden, Luther, Dauber, Howard, and Stuart (only when he cries) made this extremely funny.

Friends was no where near the funniest show ever. There are hundreds of funnier shows.

Beverly Hillbillies, Cheers, Threes Company, Simpsons, Frasier, Sanford & Son, Will & Grace, etc....Even when Festus and Doc went at it on Gunsmoke, they were funnier than Friends

The first three years of The Lucy Show were perfect. Once her character moved to LA, it wasn't as funny as it use to be. Still though I think it is way better than I Love Lucy.

To me, Roseanne and The Facts of Life are the funniest sitcoms ever. I never get tired of them.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned The Golden Girls yet. I've seen every episode countless times on Lifetime, and yet I still tune in and laugh as if I didn't know what the next line was. Not many shows can make you do that.

Since that post I saw the show a few more times and really began to like it much more. I don't know if I prefer it over I Love Lucy, but I think it's a good show.

Anyways, Cheers still gets my vote. And, changing opinions once again, I've come to enjoy Friends very much, but still would never consider it the funniest show of all time.


I like The Facts Of Life a lot, but it really isn't laugh out loud funny, IMO. I think there are shows I don't like quite as much that make me laugh more, but something about it is just.... fun.

The first 2-3 seasons of Sanford & Son. Those shows always make me laugh and I've NEVER gotten tired of them.

Whereas I love The Cosby Show, I admit I've watched some episodes without laughing.

Hands down for me its Friends! Probably because this is my favourite show ever.

lol...Eric Matthews wins "Wackiest Character Ever" for those years. He was about the only thing that was funny.

Here's another one...Night Court. Even the lame 1st year made me laugh. And Wings.

NBC used to have some pretty good comedies...what happened??
