Becker is now cancelled. CBS more than likely moved it and didn't advertise it this season to intentionally get rid of it. Becker is closer to classic sitcoms than anything else out today except for Frasier, Raymond, and perhaps Friends. Everything out there is practically slop (Whoppi, What I Like About You, Reba). Cliches, recycled jokes, and all that other material is so reccurent today. Now that Becker is gone, I'm afraid we'll get farther away from sitcoms that stay close to classics like Cheers, All in the Family, etc. It's really sad, don't you think? And with all of this reality crap, we're really starting to say goodbye to quality TV. Too many things are aimed at a younger, "hipper" audience with a young, attractive cast. The jokes don't have to be funny. That's not what sells. And that's why Becker must go, thinks CBS. They don't think it blends with everything else. So they deliberately mess it all up. I think this is what bothers me the most about Becker's cancellation. What are your opinions ?

I think Becker's time has come. As I have stated a number of times before, the new additions to the cast were not very funny and I think it has taken its toll on the others.

That Hector guy is the pits and I just never cared for Chris.....maybe because she had too much to live up to trying to replace Reggie.

It had a good run. The reruns show that those first couple of years were classics.

The first two seasons were loades with classics. They were the best episodes?

Do you think they cast the character of Hector to deliberately affect the ratings negatively?

Possibly.....If untrained goobers like us can see that he's not funny then those "in the know" had to see how terrible he was.
