I wonder if TV LAND will have any special tribute to Good Times like a marathon or some type of special boxset. But knowing TV LAND, they won't. My local UPN station here in Philadelphia aired a Good Times marathon last sunday instead of waiting until Sunday, Feb 8th. I guess they forgot about the 30th Anniversary also.

Since the second season dvd set will be released Tuesday February 3rd, I'll be having my own personal Good Times marathon.

Do you know if it will be in the stores or just the internet? If it's in the stores then i can have my own marathon too.

I was talking about the seasons without James. Only 1-2-3 seasons. I doubt if season 5 will ever be out on DVD.

Yes it should be in stores. When the first season set came out last year, I got it at a Target store the day it was released. I have a strong feeling though, now that season 2 of Good Times is coming and season 4 of Sanford is coming, they're gonna release all 6 seasons of Good Times on dvd. All of those Columbia tv season sets are relatively inexpensive so I don't think they're losing money by releasing season after season, and they're going make all seasons available to fans who want to buy them.

I will be surprised if Season 5 is pulled off the shelves

Because in that season, there was no James and Florida.

They'll sell at least one copy, because if it ever comes out, I'm buying it.

I will buy all 6 seasons of Good Times because I loved the whole cast. Yes, it was a little dry without James and Florida, but I also enjoyed Thelma, Michael and yes...even J.J.:dog:

I think they will release all six seasons, just based on the dvd box. They had JJ on the spine for season 1, now Florida for season 2. For season 3 it'll most likely be James since that's his last season, then maybe Thelma for season 4, Willona for season 5 since that's when the whole Penny storyline started and then have Michael on the spine of season 6. So when we finally get all six seasons on dvd it'll look nice with the collection on the dvd shelf with the six major characters represented.

I am jealous of the UPN station in Philly; the one here in both San Diego and Los Angeles STINKS...they broadcast crap..I would be thrilled to death if they decide to add Good Times and Sanford and Son to their line-up...

I think the Good Times DVD in Tower records will be a little more expensive. I don't live near a bestbuy so i have to pay extra. But it will be worth it.

They are selling the DVD for 30 bucks at the stores where I live, but I pre-ordered the damn thing a few months ago and I am kinda of disapointed that it did not arrive in the mail today....I went out and bought the What's Happening DVD instead...
