Is it me, or is Mary Ann Mobley as Maggie Drummond the absoluate worst? That woman cannot act her way out of a paper bag.

I thought the show was bad with Dixie Carter as Maggie, but at least she was believable as the mother of that little southern kid, Sam. Remember when Hoyt Axton guest starred as Sam's father when Dixie was on the show? Now, can you picture Hoyt Axton and Mary Ann Mobley as a couple?

Arrghh, no! I think Dixie Carter was much better than her. At least she was convincing.
