Danny DeVito as you all know is married to Rhea Pearlman, and he tries to stick his relatives in his movies as much as possible.

like for example I was watching his first film (1987) "Throw Mamma from the Train" and guess who was in it? PHIL!!! he is just this random guy who says funny stuff in one of the character's writing class. AND they call him Phil.

....ok ok and it gets better for all you Sam and Diane fans out there in the movie JANET ELDRIGDE plays the ex-wife of the main character who is a writer and she steals his draft of a book he was going to publish, then plublishes it herself and becomes very wealthy and famous. The guys like hates her throughout the entire movie...and let's just say we see little miss eldrigde getting choked and thrown off a boat.

Phil is also in "the War of the Roses" and I'm sure other DeVito films.

YEs it is his best film! and one fo my favorite movies...if not my favorite. You should hear him on the director commentary for "the war of the roses" haha it's the best i've seen, because he talks about all of the type of shots etc. Has many funny anecdotes from the set. Throughout it he keeps saying "Man, I love this movie"
