I think mine would be The Cheetah Girls soundtrack. It is pretty cool and the songs aren't bad at all, but I don't rally get many soundtracks....Only soundtracks of shows and movies Raven are in! LOL

I am more a fan of the old-school soundtracks. I love Grease, Flashdance, Xanadu, Saturday Night Fever, Footloose, Dirty Dancing. I think the late 70's and most of the 80's were a golden time for movie soundtracks, they flowed together like great albums. For most modern movies, I usually will only buy the "musical" ones, like Chicago and Evita.

Chicago. Without a doubt.

I also enjoy The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Grease 2.

I forgot Purple Rain, but I do think of it more as a Prince album than a movie soundtrack.

What I notice about a lot of the "classic" soundtracks is that a lot of them sold well even after the movie had left theaters, while a lot of newer soundtracks generallly come and go really fast. There's been a few like O Brother Where Art Thou and Coyote Ugly in the past few years that showed real "legs" and stayed on the chart for a really long time, but it seems like the days of Saturday Night Fever, Dirty Dancing (it was still in the top 10 albums chart when HBO started showing the movie in June 1988!!! How rare is that?), Flashdance and Grease are long gone.
