I think its worth it. My sister has one and she brought it everywhere with her so that her daughter could watch movies in the car. And you can bring it just about anywhere, so yeah...go for it.

I like them but I think I will wait a while, at least till the price comes down.

I am thinking about it but I would love one that I can record all my favorite news shows and game shows but if you buy one with a burner, they cost you a lot of money so I will wait!!!

We got a free one 'cuz it came with our new car when we bought it in '03... we haven't used it a lot (we already have a DVD player in the car) but we've lent it out to friends and they always have positive things to say about it.

I can read in the car, I know people who can't and if you're one of them... buy it. You always need entertainment in the car on long trips.

I don't have one and don't intend to buy one. There's better things I can do than watch TV in the car...I'd much rather read. And aren't portables pretty expensive now?
