im a new fan here and one thing i noticed when watchin the show was the fact there there were scenes in which they speak spanish. now i know even in the ninties mainstream ameican media didnt think the latino population had much push so they must have felt that havin a show like this was a big risk. im guessing this show was a first of it's kind and that it was a real ground breaker.
freddie himself glowed as chico and in my opinion stole the show with his charisma! kinda sad really to see such a talent and know that it never reached it's potential :(

Oh mi hermana is here! ;)
Yes Nikki, Chico was a groundbreaker and it was the most popular and successful show with a Latino lead until the George Lopez show. Even so though, George has only tied Chico, he hasn't surpassed him.
I'm so glad you finally get to see the show!;)

Chico and The Man wasn't that groundbreaking. Ricky Ricardo.

Freddie would probably smile at that comment. CATM was not only groundbreaking Ricky Ricardo..it gave hope to many Hispanics looking for work during the 70's. Sorry, but maybe that show just isn't your cup of tea. Thanks for your thoughts just the same.
