how many people here think that when drummond got married to maggie and she brought her kid sam along,diff'rent strokes had lost its touch?

It totally lost all of it's spunk when Maggie and Sam were added to the show. The ratings also got worse, because Dana Plato left the series just after the 2 had joined the series. It was moved to ABC, and Mary Ann Mobley took over Dixie's role of Maggie, and then after that one ABC season, it was cancelled.

another thing i want to add.
if you somebody is collecting all episodes of diff'rent strokes, cut out the last two seasons as never taking place.

It helped a whole lot when Dixie Carter came to the show! She is the best actress in the whole entire universe!!!

I like Dixie Carter too. Mary Ann Mobley was good too. I liked the addition of Maggie and Sam. It helped keep DS going.
