Tiffany

Teddy: You all set for tomorrow night?
Jinny: I have my bullet proof vest polished if that's what you mean.
Teddy: Come on, Jinny.
Jinny: Oh, yes. Actually... I bought a dress.
Teddy: You did?
Jinny: There is no guarantee, however, that I am going to wear it.
Teddy: So, uh... I don't know. What else did you buy?
Jinny: How do you know I bought you anything for your birthday? Maybe I plan on knitting you a sweater or... give you something much more organic.
Teddy: Well, you do give good organic.

Teddy: What's this dress look like anyway?
Jinny: Oh, yeah, OK. Low cut, skin tight, animal print, ruffle at the bottom. Don't you have lawyering to do?

Teddy: Be honest with me, not my parents!
Jinny: All right, fine. You want honesty? Why don't you let me tell you a little bit about my family? See, I never really had a birthday party unless you wanna count my 15th, when my father showed up for cake, plastered in his underwear! Oh... yeah, by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because, well, sadly, six months earlier she blew her brains out!!!!!
Teddy: Jinny, my God.
Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me, a few weeks ago when I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.
Teddy: Stop.
Jinny: Ya know what? This is who I am, this is my family!!!! Come on, it's your turn. Go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter!

A day with Blair is like walking up San Juan Hill. Every time you turn around she's yelling CHARGE!

I almost did-it's the end of an era so to speak. The end of the Eastland era. Of course Natalie and Tootie are still at Eastland during the Edna's Edibles era and there are references to Eastland but the main action takes place away from Eastland. I miss that especially after season 5 which was the first Edna's Edibles season. It would have been nice to have more action take place at Eastland. I got real excited when Blair bought the school cuz I was thinking that they would go back to having the action at Eastland. It was nice seeing Jo, Blair, Natalie, and Tootie grow up but it was getting boring -I missed Eastland. Seasons 1-5 are my favorite seasons needless to say and then I like certain episodes from seasons 6-9.

I wish they had brought the first seaon girls back even if it was for a brief appearance-such as to wish Blair and Jo well. I know they wanted to focus on the main 4, Mrs. G and the family drama of Jo and Blair but a brief appearance from the season 1 girls would have been appropriate and cool.

It was a very touching episode. For some reason, I always cry whenever I hear "Pomp & Circumstance", anyway. I blubbered when I heard it played at MY high school graduation. :o

I didn t cry but i was very touched (especially at the 2d part when MRS. G hands BLAIR & JO their presents) the way she gives her 2 older girls her speech & the 3 of them hugged: so emotional lol!

FOL is the only show I have really shed tears at, or really laughed at with a sort of fellow-feeling towards the characters (granted, I laugh more while watching the Cosby Show, but I never felt one with them like I do with the FOL girls).

So yes, I cried at the graduation episode, also when Natalie's father died, because it was so elegantly done--exactly portraying the emotions my cousins and I went through when my uncle passed away.
