Bad Trader Alert: Justin Richards = disneychannel? (his ID on this board) :crybaby:

I hate doing this, especially when I thought Justin was a friend. He's always been very polite. He was a bit slow with the first trade, but that's usually the case with most traders, to a degree.

We had a successful trade last summer, though slow, and we set up another one in August. By September he'd received my tapes and told me that he was almost done with mine. October 27th he apologized for the delay, telling me how patient I'd been.

Many emails later, hotmail tells me that the address does not exist: journeytoavonlea@hotmail.com . I did try another email address I had for him uhohbgmc@wmconnect.com , but he never responded. I even sent him a letter in the mail shortly after Christmas. Again, no response.

Justin has the entire "Road to Avonlea" series and a good collection of Disney movies (lots he got from me).

This is his mailing address:

Justin Richards
**** E. Bellerive Pl.
Chandler, AZ 85249

If I receive my end of the trade bargain, I will post this information.

How sad, that CRAP happenes...why do people lie and cheat. That sucks. Sorry for your trade, but that is unacceptable and B.S.! I hate people who lie. "Oh cool, look I got these tapes inthe mail...okay I'll start on their trades soon... Oh, I've been busy, sorry...oh, too much is happening, etc.., what? I nver got your trades inthe mail... what? I sent them over 2 weeks ago, sorry, it must have got lost in the mail, but I sent those to you... blah blah blah! " GARBAGE!!!

Don't trust ANYONE with hotmail address, sorry, that's just me, and there's no excuse for not having a good, legit email. And what's up with deleting your email accounts? Just dumb. Thanks for the warning...

Hey, whatever works, is my motto. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

I guess I never thought of not trading with someone because of their email address. Actually, I use a hotmail address myself so that I can retrieve my emails when I'm out of town and also because my other one got messed up with viruses coming from alt.video.tape-trading (http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&group=alt.video.tape-trading).

All three of the times I've gotten burned or gotten the short end of the stick in trades were at the beginning of my trading. Live and learn. Now, besides, following these Safe Trading Tips (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81458), I do watch tape trading boards and yahoo group posts and go by instinct.

Well you I would trust no problem even though you have hotmail address, since you're here all the time, and sound sincere and honest. :) but those persons that posts once or twice now and then and then disappear, etc..those I'd be leary about, especially with the hotmail address... thanks again for the tips

I'm really sorry to hear this, Jen but I hope he'll still send it.

If you mention google I posted warnings on two boards about Remgio Rozzga and Pam Maples but for some reason I can't find the posts again, maybe it's taken to a special thread (again).

If I try to find those names through a search then nothing was to find, how's this possible? If people post frauders names I thought the names would show up all existing threads about them after doing a name search?

ML21,

There is a delay in when these actually show up doing a google search. I hope this helps, but rest assured, in a month or so, you should be able to find them.

There are some sites where posts might not necessarily show up, but google is one that will show up... just give it some time.

Thanks for speaking out, warning others.

Hey!!! I have a hotmail address and I'm honest:lol:

I have had this email account since 1998 and I use it because every time I change ISP's - I would have to notify everybody with a new email address. I :loveya: HOTMAIL!! It's always there where ever I go!!;) :D

You shouldn't post anyone's mailing address on a message board, especially since a lot of people here probably hate this guy.

I doubt that "a lot of people here probably hate this guy". I have never heard anything bad about him. As far as I know, I'm the first. :( But it is very important to post at least a partial mailing address to forewarn other traders. An email can be changed, and a name can be twisted. So neither of those are sufficient in posting a bad trader warning.
