It's no Punk'd prank: Star has learned exclusively that Ashton Kutcher, 25, and Demi Moore, 41, plan to tie the knot this May -- and they want to start having children soon after!

"The wedding will be a big family occasion and not a circus," says a source close to the couple.

"This is the opposite of some crazy Britney Spears coupling. They are mature, sensible people and are going about it in a very smart way."

This week's Star cover story has all the details:

How Demi's three kids with ex-husband Bruce Willis feel about their stepdad-to-be, what Ashton gave her in place of an engagement ring, how the couple spent their time at the Sundance Film Festival -- and what Bruce himself has to say about their coming marriage!

I don't think they are gonna get married. The star also reported earlier this year that J-lo was going to leave Ben at the alter, you can't always trust the tabloids.

Anything that will keep them from making movies together...

Now that Ben and Jen won't be heading down the aisle any time soon, Ashton and Demi can bask in all the extra publicity.

I'm sure Demi s thrilled.

i know the Star is full of S**T but it's just funny to think about ...

Even though that story is probably a big lie, it's sort of an interesting thought. And if they ever plan on getting married or having kids, it should be sooner rather than later. Demi's in her 40's so in a few years, children won't even be possible. But I think that's for the better. I can't picture Ashton as a father. Not in a million years.

Ashton's new flick "The Butterfly Effect" has been overwhelmingly thrashed by critics, and Ashton is supposedly very embarrased about that. Will this derail the Ashton and Demi express?

;) I sure hope so. Ashton is trying to be a serious actor but, somehow I can't see him as one. I crack up everytime I see him. :lol: Especially last night on the Golden Globe awards. :lol:

As for having a baby with Ashton.... Geena Davis is having twins at 48 so Demi has 8 more years to go. Hurry up Dummy.......... I mean Demi. :lol:

I think everyone is going to end up being punk'd by Ashton and Demi. I still think this is PR related.

let's face it, this is another case showing how hypocritical people are towards men and women. If Ashton was 41 and dating a 25 year old girl, nobody would flinch. But dare Demi Moore do the same thing, and nobody takes them seriously. Demi's ex-husband has been seen with women 20 years younger after they broke up, but nobody thought Bruce was "punking" his fans when he dated Liv Tyler, in which there's a bigger age gap than between Demi and Ashton.

What is up with all of these couples suddenly deciding to get married? It's getting kind of annoying imo. :mad:
