MUSIC FORUM! WAIT-- CAN YOU EVEN CALL THIS MUSIC?

And to answer the question, it's horrible.

I am NO hip hop fan... but this song RULES. The club mix to this song is easily the hottest "mainstream" club remix since Whitney met Thunderpuss in 1999.

I actually burned the dance mix to this song to cd... IT ROCKS.

Kelis isn't that bad for hip hop anyways IMO

I just looked at this kid's away message on aim... it said my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard... yeah, he's a guy. :grr:

Anyways, I don't like this song.

LOOOOOOVE this song, I've loved it ever since I first heard it on a fashion show, like, 2 or 3 months ago and it's still my favorite song, at the moment...

I think it was called "Caught Out There." I'm glad she is getting some play now, she was being overlooked for too long.

I personally am happy to see one really popular r&b song on the radio and doing really well that..... DOESN'T HAVE A GUEST RAPPER!!!

I am sick to death of everything having "guest rappers" on it, good god. I probably wouldn't like the song as much had Ludacris or Jay-Z or the like had been on it.

But go figure... finally a song is HUGE that I can actually get into, and everyone rips on it, lol. Always happens everytime whenever something I actually like gets popular.

my radio station hasn't played it once yet (maybe it's because I listen to alternative?), but I heard it on MTV a few weeks back. I got a good kick out of it...but a hell of a time figuring out what it was really about. what can I say, I'm slow.

Is great that Kelis is getting mainstream attention. But this is not a good song, and Kelis is abanting her punk/funk roots.

Her earlier song "I hate so much right now" is great.

don't worry, check Tasty out. 75% of it is funk/punk. There's only 2 or 3 atypical r&b/hip hop songs on it

Speaking of Kelis, on the radio this morning, they were giving out "entertainment news" and they said that Kelis thinks her grammy nomination is a "joke" because of her "unproud" competitors.

Kelis' "Milkshake" is the most annoying song heard on 96.1 Kiss-FM. I sometimes like it. I saw it on MTV (while Jason was doing overnights) before I came to work.

The song is so awful that I actually have to listen to it when it's on....sort of like a trainwreck! I guess in some way I must like it. Maybe I just love to hate it.

I'm just wonderng what the underlying message of this song is?

One of my teenagers sings the verses to this song every single night (not MY Teenagers, I teach so one of them) and while I think I know, I'd like someone to tell me for sure.

Thanks.

According to Kelis, "milkshake" represents what each different women do best. For example, you are great at mentoring children... LOL, that's your "milkshake."

But in the ghetto, people think that it's about when women shake their juggs.
