Sorry, but when I see 8 Simple Rules, I see Kerry as older than Bridget! Maybe it's because I know that Amy Davidson is actually older than Kaley Cuoco in real life! I think it would have worked better as Kerry being the older sister! Anyone think so?:rolleyes:

I agree with you. Whenever I watch the show, I keep thinking Kerry's older than Bridget.

I have a hard time picturing the older daughter a half a foot shorter than the younger one. I think it was casted perfectly fine.

I think its cast perfectly. Bridget looks older even though Kerry is in real life.

I think its better the way it is as well

Even though Amy Davidson is older than Kaley Cuoco, I think that Amy should play the younger sister. Plus, Bridget looks older than Kerry. So I think the way things are are just working out great!

Sorry, but I disagree with Bridget looking older than Kerry! I know it's just a matter of opinion, but when I see Kerry, she looks about 18 or 19 and not 15, and Bridget looks about 16 or 17.

I also think it's very possible for the older sibling to be alot shorter! I happen to be the oldest child & the shortest! :lol:

I still think it was casted perfectly fine. I personally didn't know Amy Davidson was 24 until I saw it in IMDb. I think she just may seem older on the show because her character is more grown up.

Honda Rider, I'm pretty short(5'0"), but it's true all my siblings eventually outgrew me! :D

The point I was trying to make is that even though it's not uncommon to outgrow an older sibling, it's not as common to have an incredible growth spurt before the older one or for the older one to not have had one at all. I think that's what the producers had in mind when casting her.

Really? I didn't know Amy was older than Kaley before this thread started and I thought Amy was about 15 in real life. I knew Kaley's real age tohugh cos' I was gonna start a site about her

Amy was 18 when they first started filming the show, now shes 20. I think Kaley looks older then Kerry, doesn't really act it. But she looks it! ;)

At 24, Amy still looks young enough to play teens. I think there are some people in their 20s that don't change all that much physically after h.s.! I'm 28 and still have to show my i.d.!

I agree; it's casted perfectly. I think because Amy is shorter than Kaley, the age difference isn't all that noticable. Amy looks great for 24. Martin (Rory) is older than his character and he looks the right age too.

I'm WAY past 16, but I still look it, at least IMO. When I say my age, everyone is like REALLY? LOL. (let's just say I can't legally buy booze yet, lol) It's just different for some people I guess. Some look older than they are, some look younger than they are.

After seeing tonight's episode, I have to say they should've made Kerry the oldest on the show. It just seems weird that in real life Amy is 24 and Kaley is 18, and so with that said I think Kerry should be the oldest. Although, I have to say Kaley is playing the part of ther oldest sister very well!

And thats exactly why they didnt want her age to get out lol

I think Kerry should have been the oldest also because Kerry just acts alot more mature than Bridget and I just see her as being the "older sister" .

I think having Kerry play the youngest is ok. It's the personalities of the 2 characters that make you think Kerry should be the older character. Kerry's character is a smart student and mature for her age, and Bridget's character is supposed to be a ditzy blonde (no offense intended to anyone, it's just a stereo type casting). Michael J. Fox played 17-year od Marty McFly in back to the future when he was 24 years old, and it was perfect!

i think the cast is perfect the way it is...except john ritter coming back would be nice...:(
