Since you joined recently I'll let you in on the scoop on post totals.

People frown upon those who post just to get their numbers up and post totals were removed from under the avatars just for that reason.

Too many frivilous posts and clogging the boards with nonsense.

Where on earth do you people that have an average daily post total over..10 get the time? I work full time, run a household, do tapes, spend time with my kid....I'm lucky to pull off a couple posts a day and that's a GOOD day. :eek:

at any rate, I'm @ 1995 with 5.17 posts a day.

2,475 (2000 of which were accumulated during my first year or so at SO..back in 2001, lol)

2.24 posts per day, on average. Of course, at one point, that number for me was down to around .5, so.........

I was unemployed from the time I graduated college to Dec...so 7 months. I only work part-time now. And I hated doing homework when I was in school. And I have no boyfriend/kids, etc.

I don't really think wanting a lot of posts is evil like everybody else does. I mean, when you post like EricIdlefan, then it's evil, but if you make quality posts, wanting a lot of 'em isn't the worst thing in the world. :D

I think a lot of people here are proud of a high number of posts because they feel like they're a part of the board more than those with only a few posts. I know I feel that way...:p
