View Full Version : SBTB Seasons 3 & 4
vashti1999 01-21-2004, 12:29 PM Don't know whether or not we should believe this but dvdempire says seasons 3 & 4 of Saved By The Bell (http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_item.asp?userid=00000054709733&searchID=1616921&item_id=584822) will be released on April 27.
SBTB Geek 01-21-2004, 02:45 PM I've e-mailed Lion's Gate, hopefully they will respond soon.
barb1686 01-21-2004, 04:13 PM It's true. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/ is planning on making the announcement later on today as well.

vashti1999 01-21-2004, 10:28 PM Someone in another forum made an interesting point. If this is going to be a four-disc set and they include all episodes from seasons 3 & 4, that's 52 episodes, or 13 episodes per disc, which is alot.
barwars 01-21-2004, 10:44 PM As much as I love Saved By The Bell.
The last DVD release was real shotty.
(the packaging was terrible!!)
Hopefully itll be better this time around.
I plan on getting it anyways.
I wonder if they'll include the "Hawaiin Style" episodes.
darthsmozers 01-21-2004, 11:44 PM There were no "Hawaaiin Style" episodes - that was a full length made-for-TV movie which was later cut up into episodes to air normally. The same goes for the Wedding in Vegas movie.
Wedding in Vegas and possibly Hawaaiin Style are on DVD overseas, but not in the Us (We had VHS releases years ago.)
So, the content is there for the two films - it should be easy enough.
Now, there WERE summer episodes from their stay at a beach resort - there weren't many (less than ten?) So they're a possibility.
I wonder, though, how season 4 will be handled (Tori episodes or no?)
NickFullhousefan04 01-22-2004, 06:28 AM I don't like tori , But I still want the espiodes!!!! What season is the college years????? season 5 or what, I want those on DVD, with the wedding!!!

I think the college years episodes are from season 5 , not sure though.
vashti1999 01-22-2004, 12:15 PM The College Years is a different show. If that came out on dvd, it would be "Saved By The Bell : The College Years Season 1" or "The Complete Series", since it only lasted one season.

Has it been announced somewhere that it will be a four-disc set?

Yes, check the link in my very first post in this thread.

Well, that is a bit odd. Maybe it will change to 5-discs like the first 2 seasons.

SBTB Geek 01-24-2004, 05:36 PM ^Thanks for posting.
Unfortunately, I think it's going to have the same packaging as Seasons 1 and 2.
vashti1999 01-26-2004, 02:06 AM One website is now reporting this will be a 5 disc set:
Due on April 27th is Lions Gate's Saved by the Bell: The Third and Fourth Seasons. This five disc set will feature remastered fullscreen transfers and Dolby Digital 2.0 tracks. Retail will be $44.95.
darthsmozers 01-27-2004, 09:29 PM Many unanswerd questions:
Will season 3 contain the Malibu Sands episodes?
Will season 4 contain the Tori episodes?
Will Wedding in vegas make it to DVD as it has overseas?
Will The College Years: The Complete Series be released on DVD?
Will Wedding in Vegas be considered the last 4 episodes of The College Years, or will it stand alone as a film?
Will Hawaiin Style be counted as part of season 3, or will it stand alone, if at all? Overseas, it is on DVD, along with the Wedding in Vegas.
Will the episodes be in production order or aired order?
Will the packaging have a slip cover, where the first set had none?
Will the packaging have a booklet for the pocket, where the first set had none?
Will the top of the packaging be taped, so when you open it it peals colored paper off of the packaging, damaging the packaging, like the first set did?
Wow.
Finer Feelings 01-28-2004, 06:42 PM I hope this DVD release is better than the first 1&2 seasons. I never even bought it because it sounds so badly done.
With seasons 3&4 I wouldn't be too upset if they don't include the Tori episodes but they had BETTER include the Beach Club episodes - those are my favourite. They also need to include the Palm Springs one, heck any episodes that take place outside of Bayside High because it's so nice to see the characters outside of school for a while. They also need to include all the ones with the Jeff/Kelly/Zack storyline. If they are claiming it is "complete" it should have all episodes made otherwise it is false advertising.
I'm sure, however, if this is only going to be a 4 disk set that they will skip episodes. I don't see how they can all fit. :(
barb1686 01-28-2004, 07:12 PM Actually, I'm pretty sure it is a 5 disc set...but we'll see. I keep emailing Lions Gate Films about it (covering all issues here), and I've asked them to bring the College Years on to DVD as well. So the best thing you can do is email them and let them know what you think!*

danithang 01-29-2004, 12:24 PM Since I'm not a fan of the Malibu Sands or the Tori episodes (basically because I didn't like Zack paired with Stacey or Tori) I wouldn't be disappointed if they weren't included on the dvds, but I'm sure they will. I guess I will just be skipping a lot of episodes in that pack.
sam56 01-31-2004, 03:40 PM You never know what seaso 3 and 4 set will have until it comes out.
