Have they signed contracts for next year (Fall 2004) if the show is picked up for a 3rd season by ABC???

Does anyone know of anyone else whom might join up such as Tony Danza, Ed O'Neil, etc???

im pretty sure they only signed on for this season...I am unsure about the other people ( but it would be really funny if Ed O'Neal was on lol)

I'd rather see David Spade than Tony Danza!

This is my opinoin but i dont care for David spade or Tony Danza it schould of been ED-Oneil David spade never liked him stil dont .he is going kill 8 simple rules just know he is.

I believe Tony Danza has already said he's not interested, since he considered Ritter a good personal friend.

As far as Ed 'O' Neill, as a cameo is funny, as a regular, the critics (who're already pretty tough on this show) will just call it a "Married...With Children" knock off, and in this case, I'd agree. Last year's cameo with Don Knotts was hysterical. If they had tried to bring him in as a regular, it wouldn't have been.

I would like to see James Garner return, I'm still undecided about David Spade. If they want a love interest, it would probably be best to be someone not affiliated with Ritter or Sagal previously.

I don't want Ed O'Neil on as a regular. A guest spot is okay.

No offense but until David Spade became part of the show after John Ritter died,I was going to give up on the show
