Sutherland Explains Cell Phone Time

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Spending so much time on the cell phone isn't easy for Golden Globe nominee Kiefer Sutherland in Fox's drama, "24."

Viewers have noticed his character's on-camera phone time. Sutherland explains it's easier to talk on the phone while he's on the run than with somebody else.

"It has become a device where my character can internalize a panic, can express a thousand different things while having a conversation with someone else and have a vocal tone that's completely betraying everything else that you can see," he said.

It has its disadvantages, though.

"I'm half-deaf in one ear, and so naturally I put the phone to my good ear," Sutherland said. "I can barely hear any other actors that I'm working with."

I seem to be the only almost 30 audult that just, I mean, justs hates cellphones because they cause accidents and costs money!! Just use a payphone and it's 50 cents instead of paying hundreds of dollars talking for a long time!! And also, BTW, time zones confuse me!! I wished we lived in a world with ONLY ONE & ONE TIME ZONE ONLY!!

I wish Eric Idle would turn in a great performance in a non-Python role for once. If he's not in Python he stinks.
