Mine too, also the one when Joe gets jealous when Brian and Helen go to a Celtics game without him (can't think of the title right now).

Oh, that one about the Celtics game is a hilarious CLASSIC! It's called "All For One and Two For Helen", and it's one of MY first-season favorites too!

Actually, ALL of the first season episodes are quite good (since it was an abbreviated season of only six episodes, there really wasn't too much room for clinkers)...but for some reason I just never really cared for "There Once Was A Girl From Nantucket". That one never did much for me.

These early episodes feature some GREAT "Roy & Lowell" routines. David Schramm and Thomas Haden Church remind me of Jackie Gleason and Art Carney when they work together....They have that same kind of great comedy chemistry!

I think it's the second season, but my favorite is the one where Lowell has to talk to the French teacher ("Eccohl! Eccohl!") because of that Jerry Stark dude (wasn't that his name? I'm too tired to remember now).

I just have one question:
Since I don't have access to bootleg 'Wings' DVDs so I can use the ZOOM button, what exactly is the flight emblem that Lowell has on his T-Shirt in that episode? I could never read it well enough, probibly because of quick cuts with the camera and the quality of my VHS tapes.

I'm gonna go along with those who said "All for One and Two for Helen".

I like "Legacy" but only because it's the first episode. Nothing really greatly funny happens in it.

I like the Fay and the old man scenes, but I didn't like the Helen/cello/Brian/Joe thing in the episode "Around the World in Eighy Years".

Pilotguy, I also didn't care for "There Once Was a Girl from Nantucket". I mean the episode starts off good, but then goes down hill.

I'm not a big fan of the two part "Return to Nantucket". Like "There Once Was ..." it starts off good and has it's good moments, but it's not an episode I like to watch alot.

I also like "There's Always Room for Cello", but everyone seems to consider that a season 2 episode.

The part I like about "Return To Nantucket" is how Helen keeps chowing down junk food because she's so upset that Carol's back.....

Also, this story has a HOWLINGLY funny "Roy-Lowell" scene where Lowell misunderstands Roy's comment about a "woman problem" and thinks that Roy's really a woman masquerading as a man...and keeps it up even after Roy tries to correct him:

Roy: "Are you out of your MIND? Get AWAY from me!"

Lowell: "Ah, a FIERY wench...Men LIKE that!"

No matter how many times I watch those two guys do that scene, it makes me laugh out loud every time!

Obviously, Lowell watched too many episodes of Sally Jessie...

"All For One and Two For Helen" is my favorite of the first season as well. In fact, that episode would probably make my top 10 list for the entire series. I think it did so much to set the tone for the show and help define the characters and it had so many great lines.

Brian: Oh yes Helen, lets you and I teach Joe a lesson until we're too exhausted to teach him anymore. :D

I also agree with Pilotguy...I wasn't much of a fan of the episode "There Once was a girl from Nantucket" although it's funny to see a young Megan Mullhaney.

Since there were so few season one episodes, I'll take it one step further and rank them in the order that I liked.

1. All for One and Two for Helen
2. Return to Nantucket Part II
3. Return to Nantucket Part I
4. Legacy
5. Around the World in 80 years
6. There Once was a girl from Nantucket

lol yeah, I completely agree with you about "There Once Was A Girl From Natucket"! I didn't really like the episode, but it's funny to see Megan Mulally play that part. I'm so used to seeing her as Karen on "Will & Grace" that it's funny to see her in this Wings episode playing such a different character.

and I agree with your ranking of the episodes too. I would rank them the same way, myself.

ITA with your ranking, too. "All For One & Two For Helen" was my favorite ep from season 1. When Brian turns down Helen's parent's photo. LOL! The "owl" speech. And then when the chair of the meeting says, "And let's make sure Joe has a designated driver this evening." ROTFL!

"Return to Nantucket II" was so funny when Helen came back to Carol's hotel room... "She was all over him like syrup on pancakes. Mmmm, that sounds good." LOL.

Love,

I like "Legacy" a lot. Just because it's the first episode, and it sets up all the characters. And I agree with everyone about "All for One and Two for Helen." That was the first hint we really got of the whole Joe/Helen romance that would come later. Plus I thought it was cute how Brian kept making passes at Helen LOL.

I'm going to say the pilot episode... #1 Legacy, great start to a great show..
