View Full Version : They showed the smoking scene.... Devastation26 06-04-2001, 09:35 PM Did ya see it, they showed the smoking scene. Adele 06-04-2001, 10:01 PM Yes, I saw. But, you act like you never saw a person smoke be4. Did you, see, did you see. Gosh, calm down! ------------------ ~*Outtie*~ <3 Adele TVaddict 06-04-2001, 10:02 PM Yep, she's pretty bad at fake smoking, but oh well. Didn't someone say she played the guitar in that episode? Was it cut out? Or was that one little strum of the out-of-tune guitar all you were talking about? I'm glad they changed her character though. She was much more funny the way she ended up around season 2. That was crazy though with all those girls. And we thought 7 was too many. Michele35 06-04-2001, 10:13 PM I noticed that Nat was not in this ep. ------------------ Tootie: Muffy? Her name is Muffy? What kind of person is named Muffy? Jo: Beats me, Tootie. D&R 06-04-2001, 10:27 PM I bet the N@N execs were biting their nails when the smoking scene aired. They'll probably be shocked that nobody sent an angry email that such a scene aired on a "family" friendly channel. TVaddict 06-04-2001, 10:37 PM Come on, even Greg Brady smoked cigarrettes. And the way they made Blair in the first few episodes I'm sure nobody would've wanted to be like her. They let us see Tootie get drunk so we should get to see Blair smoke. And we did, so I guess there's really nothing to argue about here. Especially since I taped it and they can never take that away from me! Mwa ha ha ha ha (as I twirl my evil mustache) ThomasE 06-04-2001, 11:14 PM Aw Man. I missed it! I feel the like Devastation when he missed the contest. All right, who taped? ZeldaGilroy 06-04-2001, 11:20 PM I missed it too! BooHooBooHoo! I wish I had taped it. I saw it years ago, but it would have been nice to see it again. BlairandJo 06-05-2001, 12:03 AM It was a good episode,But all those girls makes it hard to know whos doing what,And whats going on.Im glad I taped it.The smoking scene was great. ------------------ There are people in this world who get shoved around and there are people who do the shoving -Jo **** Cap:Did'nt you ever have a dog when you were growing up. Jinny:I had a plant once, Did'nt make it. ~~~~ Never know till you try -My Quote FOL & DS fan 4ever 06-05-2001, 01:03 AM OK, I saw it- but it was blurry! Damn, I don't watch much TV these days and I was really looking forward to taping this ep. You see- something evil happened to me...at 9pm PST, the cable service in my area was working fine for every channel EXCEPT for N@N. So I called for tech service. I waited and waited for half an hour. No one picked up the phone. By 9:30 pm, it still wasn't working properly. On one of my TV's it totally wasn't working. And on the other, the picture was very fuzzy. I REALLY wanted to tape it. I am sooo pissed off with my local cable company, you can't imagine. As soon as I get a chance I will write my cable co. a nasty letter. So it looks like there's a good # of us who missed it- did anyone tape it? callmetootie 06-05-2001, 07:48 AM I taped it, and it came out great. Blair stinks as an actress when she smokes. I think that if they can say that Mrs. G smokes bamboo in this ep, then they should also air Dope. ------------------ Andrew Carden Sean Snow 06-05-2001, 10:57 AM I didn't know it was coming on at all. I was watching Diff'rent Strokes at 8:30, but the next episode I had already seen, so I tuned in to Weakest Link. During commericals I tuned back just when Kimberly started asking Mrs. G to come. It was very good! ------------------ Jack: I'm surprised at you. Where would all the great women of history be if they thought like that!? Look at Joan of Ark and wht she accomplished. And, and Florence Nightengale and Madam Curry. Chrissy: And Lucretia Borzok. Janet: She posioned people. Chrissy: Yeah, but she was very goo at it. BevAnn 06-05-2001, 11:53 AM I missed the FOL Pilot episode http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/mad.gif I was too busy watching "The Weakest Link" ------------------ you gotta love blair, "i just had one of my brilliant ideas" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Shawn- ks 06-05-2001, 01:28 PM I thought it was a good episode for the most part, and for once Nancy wasn't on the phone with Roger! Oh, and I loved seeing Eastlake written on Sue Anne's shirt instead of Eastland! I thought it was a pretty cool spinoff idea, but when does Ms. G take the job? Originally posted by Michele35: I noticed that Nat was not in this ep. Yeah, I read in an interview with Charlotte Rae once that the did the spinoff attempt, and once it took then they picked the six girls. While Charlotte was out interviewing schools on how she should play her character she met Mindy Cohn and fell in love with her. She made the writers write in a special role just for Mindy, which came to be known as the famous, yet infamous, Natalie. ks ------------------ -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Jo: Why would Tootie do something like that? Blair: WHY? I know why. To make a fool of Blair Warner, that's why. Jo: You don't need Tootie for that. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- jinny_jo_2001 06-05-2001, 08:09 PM I just thought it was funny when Mrs. G said "your chairs on fire" hehe but then she saw Blair and then.... Have you eva heard of ne body smoking bamboo? FactsFan4Ever 06-07-2001, 05:13 PM The only thing I didn't like about Blair smoking was that Mrs. G covered up for her, and Blair wasn't very grateful. She could have been kicked out of school. Anyway, it wasn't a FOL episode anyway. All it talked about was Kimberly and the girls' costumes and that stupid play! I have to say, "A Mid Summer Nights Dream" is a great play! ------------------ -Lizzie- ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ FRIENDS rule! ------- Joey: Look, I'm Chandler. Could I be wearing any more clothes? Maybe if I wasn't going camando! ------- Chandler: When I get back, it's chair city, and I'll be a guy...sitting in a chair. ------- Phoebe: Okay, that's not the song. ------- Phoebe rox! Gotta love her! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Blair: Oh my word! Jo: What? Blair: I can't believe it. Jo: What? Blair: There's a hair in my menu. |
