Ever since the Goodbye episode, the Doyles haven't made an appearance yet. I really liked them and I was wondering if they are going to appear or if they have been scraped and how about John's old boss too? I heard John Ratzenberger, who plays Fred Doyle has a new show, so I was just wondering if he has time to appear on 8 Simple Rules anymore. Any feedback would be appreciated. If they got rid of him, was it a good move or not?

They were just talked about a lot by Paul.

I don't know where the Doyle's are, but considering the fact that Bridget had an ackward break-up with their son right before Hennessey's death, they are probably trying to avoid them. As far as the boss goes, if you mean Nick Sharpe (Patrick Warburton) he has been doing episodes of 'Less than Perfect' and because of Ritter's death, he has no connection to these character's anymore. If you are talking about Tommy (Larry Miller) he is still connected to the show, as long as Kerry is still dating Kyle, and it's possible he may make some more appearences.

How come the person who plays Mrs. Doyle changed from the one in season one to the one in season two? And I don't remember her being in "Goodbye". I hope they bring the Doyle's back. They were great. Kyle was on tonight's (1/27) show.

The Doyles were metioned in the last new episode.Kerry said she was going over to the Doyles to tutor one of their daughters.

i dont know why mrs doyle changed between seasons either but i think it was a change for the better....also mrs doyle was originally in the goodbye episode but her part got cut...also i think fred might not appear asmuch because he (john ratzenburger) has his own show on the travel channel that he's busy with :wave:
