. . . (of "The Truman Show" & "The Life of David Gale") will apparently be co-starring in at least 3 upcoming episodes of Frasier, according to Playbill.com (http://web.playbill.com/news/article/83769.html). Yay!! She's one of my favorites! :)

When I checked to see what she looked like.... I found out she was a caller in a Season 10 episode called "233 - Kenny on the Couch"

Laura Linney (Voice of Mindy)

I wonder if the writers got so specific as to make her character the same one as her caller....

They way things are playing out, this is probably who Frasier finally ends up with.

I was wondering that too, so I looked up the transcript to that episode, and I don't think so, since in that episode she says she works in catalogue sales and in the upcoming ones she's supposed to be a matchmaker. Still, I guess the two professions not necessarily mutually exclusive. . .

I hope this comment is "tongue-in-cheek" humour, seeing how they have (on a number of occasions) used actors as voice over guests and then later invited them back later for a guest role as a "character" unrelated to the voice role. :-))

I think that is what we are seeing here (seeing how the voice role of "Mindy" doesn't even match the character's name in the most recent role that Laura Linney is playing in the "Match Game" episode).

Hello frasier fans all over the world (Aren't we a fortunate bunch?)

Well shame on you - Laura is one of THE stars of the "Tales Of The City" miniseries which is also one of the finest ever shows from the impressive Armistead Maupin.
She is a fine actress.

Regards

P.S. Over here in the UK we have just seen the "Patrick Stewart" episode - surely the finest and funniest in years!!

That she is! And Armistead Maupin himself was one of the guest callers on "Frasier," though I forget the episode.
