I bought some stuff from him but he claimed he never got it. Thank god I have a tracking number so the mail station currently tries to find out what happened to it. Anyone know him or traded with him?

I have heard a lot of bad things on tape trading boards about another Polish trader, using various aliases. Perhaps this is the same person (?). :(

Same here,a while back someone from Poland hit me up,but nothing came of it,I remember someone was buring people from poland.

Anytime someone on here mails me for a trade,I find out their i.d,cause I want to know who it is,Im talking to.

I think there should be a 'sticky' on this board about bad traders. Even as a reply to "New to Trading? Please read!". This guy from Poland has been at this for years!

Maybe once TJ bans someone, then they can be added to the 'bad traders' list on here or something. I hate seeing people getting ripped off by the same people who we've posted about already. I know of three bad traders we can start with....

OMG then it's true! it was already November/December when we had the trade DAMN - he mailed me claimed he had 80 eps of General Hospital, I sent him the first half of the money and he claimed he never got it, what an *******!! I'm sure the mail station tells me he got it :mad: :mad:

Yes, James Ewing is a bad trader. I set up a trade with him & I never received my tapes from him.

You're batting zero, aren't you? :( Bad traders typically target newbies, or those over trusting, which you've been.

I'm sorry, but in my experience, having a tracking number does very little good, except to prove to others that the bad trader is bad. You'll get no where with some of these people, sad to say.

Believe it or not, not everyone is a rip-off artist. Sigh...

I think you'd better edit that post, Jen. Remember that rule?

I had to spend almost $60 on her for Punky Brewster tapes that she was going to send me back in Oct. I sent her my own 6 blank video tapes and I sent them and the check in priority mail with delivery confirmation and she herself said she got the stuff and she said that she started on my tapes and would send them within that week. But before that week was over she stopped answering my emails and I never heard from her again in 3 and a half months and never got my tapes from her either. She stole my money and she's ripped other people off too. Now after 3 and a half months later after she suddenly disapeared she emails me out of the blue with sob stories trying to make up excusses for her not sending everyone our stuff months and months ago. She has the nerve to expect us to feel sorry for her and belive her that she's not a bad trader - yeah right, I'll belive it when I see my money back Rachel!! I truster her and gave her a chance and tried to help her, but she turned around and stole from me and took advantage of me. Now she expects me to trust her again - I'm not falling for it again! I understand if personal problems comes up in the middle of a trade and you suddenly can't do the tape trading thats fine, just keep in touch with the person and send their money back, thats all, but she never did that with any of us she stole from! She kept saying she couldn't afford to do any of the trades - then hello, don't take on trades in the first place if you know you can't handle it or afford it! And I SENT her all the money for shipping and everything else and I sent her my own tapes so she had NO excuse at all for not doing mine!!

I'd just have one favor which is that all of you - regardless on which trading boards you trade - would warn others of those persons. I'd hate to see anyone else get ripped off by those morons. All of them should know that they're known on ALL trading boards and no one would ever buy from them; thanks for your help

ahem, maybe I was pretty much overreacting and oversensitive cause I got cheated twice now and after someone said James is a frauder I believed it cause it's more than a month ago after he obviously sent my tape.

Well, I must say I didn't believe him and was very unfair and unfriendly to him but today I got it. I really can't speak for anyone here if you got your stuff of him or not, if you trust him or not. It's just I traded with him before all those things happened, he was one of my first trades. Nevertheless there are many bad traders out there and still try to cheat and hurt people. I can't say if it's good or bad to trade with James but I have to correct my former opinion of him because he didn't lie and he sent like he said. I don't know if or how much people he didn't tell the truth but in my case he did. My apologize here. :rolleyes:

leeroy, as you said you've been ripped off if I thought the same I confronted James a few days ago that there is another person he obviously cheated. I didn't tell any names but now for me personally it's cleared he asked me who the person is cause he never cheated anyone. leeroy, why don't you post your email addy or surname here for us to see and I can mail James your addy if you want. Then we will see if he refuses to answer again or if he will contact you. If he won't then I believe you're right and guess I just had big luck this time to get my tape. How much did you pay to him?

But I also have to say that I paid beginning of December and he then sent it on Dec. 15th so he's indeed slow too.

it's on you, maybe it's to clear up and you will still get your stuff or at least we know he's really a bad trader.

When I encountered a bad trader, and finally expressed my frustration on the board as to what I was going through, I lost two really good trades, at least I thought so at the time.

People tend to be more nervous about trading with those that expose bad traders. At least that's what happened to me. Plus, it's easier to tell the moderator than no one else at all. :cool:

As far as losing those two really good trades, I later found out that both guys had problems with being accused in the past. I figured that I was blessed to be rid of them.

An awful lot of bad traders can be exposed by following these Safe Trading Tips (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81458) which may save you an awful lot of heartache/headache.

If a trader has a ton of stuff, and you find nothing on-line about her/him, that would send up red flags in my mind that they're using an alias.

Above all, keep trades small.

i've traded with james ewing a couple of years ago and he was fine . i got my whole life with lucy set from him , as well as some other lucy tv specials.

look I'm really sorry but if you won't give me your mail addy it makes no sense. He wrote me again and would be pleased if I could give him your mail addy - so what do you have to loose? It is a lost cause after 9 months of waiting for James to send the tapes. I got the shows I was suppose to get from James from somebody else so I am no longer interested in dealing with James after he ripped me off with our trade.
