I feel that it about time to release an Unsolved Mysteries box set. It would be a great tribute to the late great Robert Stack. It would also probably sell pretty well too considering the demand for it. I have alot on tape but I am afraid that one day they will all warp on me. We need thees on DVD!!!!:)

I agree. But I am going to buy a dvd recorder in the next month or so and transfer my video collection to dvds and I can't wait! I watch them a lot and some of them are a little worn.

I know what you guys mean by wearing your tapes out, I've had to have one of my Unsolved Mysteries tapes professionally fixed because it wouldn't play. I'm afraid my other tapes will start breaking too.

I was thinking about this the other day. I doubt it could be done unless they released compilations like "Best of". Even then it would probably have to be confined to ghost stories, UFOs, etc. I can't see them releasing episodes about murder cases and the like since those are actually solvable. How would they handle the updates?

I did a post history check on this guy (MysterySolver), and he has claimed in the past to work for Cosgrove/Meier (sp?). So, this could be accurate information, if he is not a lier.

Realistically, I don't see how they could release all the episodes, uncut, season by season. The reason being is that if you look at the episode guide, you'll see that a lot of episodes were rebroadcast ON NBC with new stories added, old stories removed etc. Not to mention all the mixing and matching Lifetime does.

Then we have all the stories that are actually solvable like the murders, and lost loves. Suppose a DVD viewer resolves a previously unsolved case. How would they go about updating the segment for future re-releases of that DVD?

What about cases that were solved years ago by Lifetime viewers? Would the DVDs actually use Lifetime's updates?

Sorry guys, I just don't see it happening. I suppose they could release "Best of" DVDs which would be essentially collections of some of the better, or unsolvable stories (ghosts, Bigfoot, UFOs).

But, I suppose that would be better than nothing at all.
