I used to go to tanning salons all the time, but I gave it up. I don't bake at the beach either. I want to age well, and the sun is your enemy in terms of aging, and of course there's the matter of that pesky skin cancer.

When I did use tanning beds, I enjoyed them. Put the tunes on, and sort of get lost in my thoughts. It was nice looking bronzed too.

My great uncle and my Grammy died of skin cancer. I will never ever use one of those.

Used them twice. April-May 2002, and May-June 2003. First year I tanned really well and it looked good for the prom. So, this past year I wanted a tan for the summer too, and decided to go back. For some reason, this year you could not tell at all. I barely tanned and went for the exact same amount of time and everything. Meh, Ill probably try again this year because Im stubborn lol, or Ill get a really good selfless tanner.

Our summer house in NC has a tanning bed in the basement. I went in it and ended up falling asleep for 5 hours. I was tan for weeks.

I prefer to start out with a self-tanning lotion. Tomas Tan Perfect works the best for me. I usually start using it in May, June at the latest. Then I just go outside in the sun for a little while.

Here's the link if anyone's interested.

I never have, but I plan to this summer. I used to stay outside a lot and I always got a good tan, but now I hate going outside in the summer because of the bugs, etc, but I still wanna nice tan.

Oooo, the hair salon I go to regularly has that service. I heard you have to wash yourself down REALLY good...and exofliate your skin before you come in :)

I like being pale. I have really dark hair so it's not very normal to have as pale as skin as I do. *shrugs*

That's what I read on the sign they had for the airbrushing service, anyway...it may be different in your area.

I never have gone and never will. Aside from the fact that I never really understood the appeal of tanned skin in the first place, I have a skin condition where I'm at risk for skin cancer when I'm in the sun too much. Tanning salons are completely out.
