I wnat to prefrence this by saying that i have NO confrimation on this however its disturbing enough that i feel it should be posted...
A semi-reliable source has told me that we can expect MASS firings at ABC...
Among the names i've heard mentioned are as follows-
AMC- Terri Ivens (Simone), Amelia Henile (Mia), Julia Barr (Brooke), Elien Herlie (Myrtle), Alicia Minshew (Kendall), Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie), Michael B. Jordan (Reggie) and Marcy Walker (Liza).
OLTL- Meliss Archer (Natalie), Kamar De Los Reyes (Antonio), Patricia Elliot (Renee), Ileen Kristen (Roxie) and Robin Strasser (Dorian), Nathanile Marsden (Al/Micheal AGAIN) and Kathy Brier (Marcie)
GH- Leslie Charleson (Monica), Stuart Damon (Alan), Jackie Zeamen (Bobbie), Ingo Radamacher (Jax), Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis)...
I've also heard seperate rumors that OLTL's Hillary B. Smith (Nora) is thisclose to resigning from the show and has been approached by CBS to reprise a popular role originated by another actress sometime in the 1970's on either "As The World Turns" or "Guiding Light".
Again i have NO CONFIRMATION of this... but i'll do my best to find out the truth.

I heard that Elien was going to retire for a long time but nothing has happened to prove it so I thought it was a rumor.
I wish that guy that plays Al would get fired and they write that whole stupid story out of OLTL because it is making no sense to me, I am a new viewer to this show.

What happened with that is last year Al and Marcie became a surprise couple and were instantly popular with viewers, it was one of the few bright spots on the show... Then the Idiots In Charge decided to FIRE Nathanile Marsden, who plays Al.. there was an uprorar by fans and he was hired back and put into this weird and horrible story where Al is actually DEAD and in the body of Micheal McBain and trying to get Marcie to fall in love with him. Its weird and not very popular. I agree with you its not working.

Well don't they know that he is Al by the way he looks? Or do they see someone else when they look at him, like on that show Dead Like Me?

How can they fire Dorian? She's one of the big characters.
And Natalie. She's the main reason why I watch OLTL. Because she can act and she's not a bad looker.
And Roxy's funny as hell.

Gee! Half the cast of AMC... I like most of those actresses listed. Many aren't needed, but Kendall (Alicia) is a major player.

The soaps are in a state now where there desparately trying to cut costs (probably so they will be renewed at a cheaper price) and alienating older fans. The peak of soaps for me was AMC in the early 90s and OLTL in the mid 90s with the Vicki multiple personalities. Never have I been so wrapped up in a show. I recently tried to get back into AMC, but I couldn't care for any of the characters. They need people like Janet again. She was a classic nut case. Remember when they discovered who she really was at the wedding with Trevor? That was great soap!
